Thanks Mikey! No there’s no locking system would’ve been nice to have unless I just didn’t notice lol I was kinda in a rush cus wifey had plans for us to go out today….when I get back home tonight I will double check
Thanks Wildroamer. There coming along. The brass was much easier than the stainless steel. But still very time consuming.

Thanks bro!! Same here I haven’t seen a drawer unit in person but I really think that they would work great with this wall system, I’m gonna have some vaca coming soon and I’m really hoping to get my shop back in shape. This rack system really loosened up some space under my work bench

That’s cool dude, I am home for about a week and half more on FMLA and will start framing out mine hopefully tomorrow or Monday. Having the systainers in my shop is wonderful especially the drawer units. I have several boxes (30+) but the drawer units make them more practical for me whereas my tools stay stationary. I wish Festool or Tanos made a wall mount unit like these. They look awesome.

I’m dying for one of these bad boys![External image (uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com), not copied]
But the wall rack is an awesome idea! I wish the ridgid system that I’ve just bought into would have something like that. Though I do keep all my small parts/fasteners/ in the Milwaukee organizers, so that’s why I would really like a cabinet like this.

That’s pretty badass right there! Did comp make those?

haha no but I easily could, only problem I would have with that is I would almost %100 of the time pull out everyone until I found the one I need. I would have to have labels on each one.

Frank @glued_n_screwed on IG made them. I don’t know if he’s on the forum though.

Huh, I wonder if my 180 would fit.
Early this morning I did a welding repair using a Lincoln vantage 500 engine drive welder. It was truly one of the worst engine drives I’ve ever welded with. In all fairness I must say I love the vantage series. There great welders but there not bullet proof. Like any tool they have a lifespan even with proper maintence. The owner even commented it’s seen better days. They have a good engine drive but it was two small for specific job.
Used a whole bunch of other tools as well. I really hate using other people’s tools but this was just a sidejob helping out a friend.
Ok so first off, I finally finished up this plaque I have been working on. Made from cherry and joined together with biscuits. Just have to put a couple coats of poly on it and it’ll be good to go. Second I made this miter/table saw station. I made it so that the height of the table saw table is level with the miter saw. I can also use the fence of the table saw as a stop block on the miter saw. If I have to rip something wide on the table saw, I can just life off the miter saw and be good to go. I like how the fence of the DeWalt table saw is removable so I can cut really long pieces on the miter. Just have to run to Harbor Freight to grab some casters and it’ll be finished! Put my brand new DCD791 drill and Kreg pocket hole jig to some good use tonight!
I made coffee, and lots of it! [External image (uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com), not copied][External image (uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com), not copied]

Today I had a chance to use my Dewalt 611 router to round over some Flame Birch (aka Curly or Figured Birch) and some Olivewood that are destined to be cheeseboards. There’s more work to be done to them but my sander isn’t here yet.

I need to use it more and figure out the best speed for different woods, it’s probably going to end up in a router table in the future since I mainly use it for round overs. Also figured out that the Milwaukee M18 Compact Blower is good for blowing away copious amounts of sawdust.

Today with my tools I made a mess. I had to fix a dresser and didn’t eve all the tools needed. I had to cut a board that was too wide to fit between two dresser drawers. The hack saw just wasn’t cutting it and the Milwaukee razor knife could only cut so far lol. I know some of you may cringe at this post. I’m really good at the improper use of tools. …When the Milwaukee knife didn’t finish the job I took my screw driver and used it to to split the wood the rest of the way. It wasn’t pretty but the job got done. I only cut myself a couple times…looks like my socket set I bought today could have waited lol

That’s hilarious @ikepete!
I got out the M18 planer last night to even out the trim on my shelf project and ended up making great piles of freaky looking sawdust.

Did some sanding today, had I not had to go to the dump I probably would have got them completely finished. As it stands I still need to go over them with 220 and then apply a finish. The cordless Makita sander worked really well, it took half a 3.0 battery but it’s really nice to not need an extension cord or be able to work outside. The cheap $0.79 earplugs worked well too.

I used the 1 3/8″ Milwaukee shockwave holesaw for the first time today! It cut threw the Hoffman Jbox easily! I only had to make the one hole though, so I didn’t get to try out the other sizes. Or see if there would be a difference after adjusting the one-key profiles. I like how shallow they are, I think I’m going to buy more, and keep a 7/8″ in my Tech MCT for when I install Eaton surge protectors on panels.

Nice.
Did some of this
[External image (dumbbaby.net), not copied]
With this.
The thing is massive and awesome. The sketchy part is there is so much momentum in the extended boom and I was on a frozen solid ditch bank that when I slowed too quickly to dump it slid me right off the bank.
A little size reference.
Sure that’s just muddy water ?.

Only a little. Mostly tempted to put on some Lamb of God and see if it had the hydraulic power to throw it. I resisted because it was almost ten and pouring freezing rain and walking home sounded like it would suck.
So we’re doing a built to order log home.

So the timber guys cut in the box locations to size for metal gangable boxes, and run the wiring on all the exterior walls, as they build the structure. In our area it is highly frowned upon to use metal gangable boxes in any form of resi. 4″ square boxes with mud rings are allowed, but in the case of timber homes exterior walls there’s no wallboard to create a proper finish around a mud ring.
Don’t get me wrong I’m glad that they cut them, I would have had to be there every day of framing just to do what they were already paid for in the cost of the home(regardless of how little I liked the result), but they were barely square, and full of inconsistencies. And it’s hard to pull the wiring back through some spots to hone out the holes to the correct size. [External image (uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com), not copied]

Still have a few to go tomorrow. The wiring they left coiled in the ceiling from the box locations weren’t labeled either, so I had to spend half of yesterday just identifying cables!
This evening I got to replace the battery in my old Transit-250. The guys who swapped into it only got a few days before the battery died on them. Got to is a strong choice of words…

Didn’t get pics of the new battery going in. But because of my particular van’s battery setup(single battery) I had to remove a plastic “stop block” that aides in keeping the battery from shifting in the compartment. After that comes out and you get the – clamp loose, you rotate the battery 90 degrees to remove the + cable. Not as bad as I thought it would be, but still not as easy as removing a battery in an engine bay. Granted I’ve never swapped a battery that’s located under the drivers seat before!
