I use the Makita MAC 5200 and its really a great unit…..since my back isn’t what it use to be I like the wheels for moving it around, the handle folds down so it fits in tight places well. I’ve done lot’s of texture, paint, framing and always keeps up, it even does pretty well with air tools for its size.
its kinda on the loud side right? somewhere around +90 db

Yes around 90dB….I have a Ridgid twin tank and a pancake type also and both are rated a bit less dB’s but honestly there all loud. For me it was about moving them with out killing my back, I almost bought the Dewalt as it had the nice wheels but the Makita has the handle that has hooks for hoses and extention cord so that worked best for my needs.
Ok Madman, it took on average about 53 to 54 seconds to completely fill to 125psi. It takes about 15 seconds to refill when it drops to about 95 psi.madman_us wrote:
yeah that would be great if you can time it.
i just cant make a decision which air compressor i gonna get
Ingersoll Rand P1IU-A9 ($300) 4.3 CFM at 90 PSI
Rolair FC2002 ($250) 4.1 CFM @ 90 PSI
or going a bit bigger with CFM
Makita MAC5200 ($300) 6.5 CFM @ 90 PSI
Rolair VT25BIG ($440) 6.5 CFM @ 90 PSI
You have the same list of compressors as I did so I know I like you now! I narrowed it down to the FC2002 and the VT20TB. I really liked the built in tool box on the 20TB it would have been nice to throw a small hose and an air chuck in. In the end I liked everything about the bull for what I needed and the lower price tag was a plus. Unless you just don’t want to lug it around and want the wheels I would highly recommend the FC2002.

I forgot to mention I went with Rolair too because my dad and grandpa use their big stationary units and love them.

Just wanted to say congratulations to all the winners, your stickers are on their way.
Thank you very much crew for participating and for all the kind things you’ve had to say.
I very much appreciate it.
This forum has been great to me, I’ve gotten so much information about tools and have made some new friends.
Seem’s like this forum is filled with cool people, unlike some other forums where there are some ass holes and drama.
I hate drama, and this forum has non of it, just a bunch of cool people who enjoy tools. I’ve never done this type of thing before but it’s because of Dan and Eric and the TIA crew that made me want to give a little something back.
You guys rock! Later Crew
It’s dudes like you that help make this forum great Nalu! If you ever make it to Indiana there is an ice cold beer and a place to hang out for ya brother. Thanks again.NaluRash wrote:

Looking good!!
i’m so jealous of all of you people!! the more i see these the more i want them… nalu, you guys should really figure out a way to sell these, cause you know they will sell like mad. i’m sure there’s all kinds of issues, but could be worth the hassle if you could eventually use the same TIA+tool brand logo on other products like shirts, hats, etc. can’t be cheap to run the website and everything else that goes into it, so more options in the store would certainly help
Got my stickers today. Thank you very much Nalu.
Deffintly pleased, I just gotta figure out were to put them now. I am thinking perhaps one on my welder but not sure about the rest.
