It was an impulse buy from HD smh. But I’m glad I have one now. The last distance measure I had was 15$ lol and it wasn’t accurate at all. But after seeing all the reviews on this and the rest of Bosch distance measures, I think it will be worth it value.

Gratz ! Bosch makes very gold ldm’s !!!

krutonMember since Jun 2015

Gotta love those impulse buys. At least yours is a good purchase, I buy things and I get home and am like why the hell did I buy that! Have you had a chance to try it out yet?

Thanks korno, yeah this thing is pretty cool. Everywhere that I’ve looked for reviews I get nothing but good things.

Is it just me or do a lot of the LDM’s look super similar? I think there is one factory building these to slightly different specifications. The

LCD’s look so similar most of the time. Nice impulse purchase though!!

krutonMember since Jun 2015

Were they on sale or did you just want to try it out?

No. No sale. [emoji19] But I have been estimating a lot of floor jobs lately and have a few more to do. Tape measure and a piece of paper is getting kind of old.[emoji58] [emoji379]

I kinda talked myself into it while I was shopping for something else. Lmbo I passed it 3 times.[emoji23] [emoji23] [emoji23]

krutonMember since Jun 2015

Yeah I always eyeball them when I am leaving the tool section. I’m a sucker for tools so I am sure I will buy one, plus it will match some of my tools.

Impulse buys are scary sometimes I almost bought a new truck the other day but I snapped out of it in time.lol Hey they had free food and music, the funny thing is I went to buy some food and then looked across the street and said hey that looks like fun.

SwaglosrevivalMember since Oct 2014

Lol yea I only go into HD for jobs. If I need something for the house, I send my wife lol. I fear impulse buying

LoganMember since Jun 2015

Nice now all you need is a ford

jrsalasMember since Jun 2015

I picked one up for a job and it worked awesome. It pays for its self and gives you square footing in a quickness. Nice buy bro

Hey cool tool BDDHOME, hopefully you will post your findings after you’ve used it for a little bit. BTW, has anyone ever told you that you look like Lando Calarisian? Do you know Han Solo? He ows a lot of money to Jabba The Hut you know, he’s got a price so big on his head he can’t go to any star system within 12 parsects without the empire crawling up his ass. [emoji14]

Yea I’ve been playing around with the square footage feature. I like that the most.
krutonMember since Jun 2015

For what I would use it I can’t really justify it but I bet that would be handy.

Awesome purchase dude. I’ve got a Bosch LDM and even at home and in the shop its proven to be very useful. Dead nuts accurate too. That’s what we call a “smart” impulse buy!
SwaglosrevivalMember since Oct 2014

Yea he did.

I found an excuse to use the ldm on a job. Repairing 2×4 railings and this things is accurate. I think the best feature is that it save 3 measurements, so I didn’t have to go back up a ladder or memorize the next ones. Now I want gm 100 lol it can sent measurements to my phone. [emoji1] [emoji17] never satisfied

I am glad you found a proper purpose for her! And that sounds awesome it records the measurements so that you don’t have to write them down on paper, or rely on yoru memory 😉

You will never be without one again! I don’t know if you quote jobs but they always impress homeowners at the initial meet and measure. I let them know it prevents me from having to slide a tape measure around their walls and floors and possibly scratching something and right off the bat they know I care about their home and my work..

Isn’t it so true about never being satisfied.. it’s such a bad thing…

No with that being said, screw the glm100 and go straight for the stabila ld520 or the Leica d810!!! I love how they have the view finder camera with cross hairs so you don’t have to be able to see the laser dot to know where your measuring.. sometimes outside that can be a pain.

I think I would have a hard time ponying up that much cash for one though..

SwaglosrevivalMember since Oct 2014

Yea I took it on an estimate yesterday and the homeowners were impressed. Thanks for the advice.

Ooooh ima have to check out that stabila

So I googled that leica d810 and it is lovely. That horizontal feature is genius. But my goodness that thing is almost pushing a grand. Jeez I’m scared of myself because I’m actually thinking about saving for it.[emoji32] [emoji32] [emoji32]
