I originally wanted the 2654 but ended up with m12 wrench fuel cus I got a good deal on it and I kinda forgot about the 2654……Thanks a lot for reminding that I wanted it

I have the 2654 and really like it. I had a hard time deciding between the 2454 and 2654. I’m still keeping an eye on eBay for a smoking deal on a 2454. The only thing that might be more compact on the 2654 is the length.

How much better is the Fuel sawzall compared to the regular m18 sawzall?

DR99Member since Nov 2012

Its a night and day difference between the M18 Fuel and brushed M18.

NicholasShetleyMember since Nov 2013

Man I need to catch up. I only have three milwaukee tools. I have an older corded sawzall and a new corded angle grinder. I also have the m18 right angle impact wrench thanks to Dan and Eric.

Honestly, haven’t messed with the Fuel yet, but the 2621 is a nice tool, great improvement over the previous version–especially if you’ve got the 4.0’s or greater. I think I’m going Fuel on this one. May pull the trigger in the next week or so. Late father’s day…

BremonMember since Dec 2014

Such is the way of the world. Top of the line tool commands a top of the line price. That said, there are deals to be had. When I bought my 2604-22 kit I got a 2730 6.5 fuel saw tossed in for free, and when I bought my 2654-22 kit, my 2720 fuel sawzall was tossed in free.

Maxwell Tyler RayMember since Jun 2015

Cash is king man!! Credit cards interest rates aren’t worth it!!

I don’t wanna sound like a ur wife/financial adviser but if you don’t have all the cash then you don’t need it(within reason)

But I feeling for you buddy!!! It’s hard not to buy anything beautiful Milwaukee red!! It’s jus the money you pay in interest is better Togo toward something red!!!

If you want sticker shock price the Propex expander, knockout punch set, or thermal imager.

I was a little disappointed that the new radio was twice as much as the previous model as well

Nalu RashMember since Apr 2015

Really loving this forum Topic, I like how everyone is staging all their tools and taking cool pictures.

Yes, I was a little disappointed about the radio as well. $200 is pretty steep, but it does come with a built in bottle opener lol

Northern RebelMember since May 2014

Loving the tool pictures.

DR99Member since Nov 2012

The price increase on the new M18 radio was a little crazy. It’s 199 now which is a little better than the 230 price but not much 🙂 The other specialty tools like conductor mentioned are defiantly meant for people that are using the tool daily to make money. Even a general contractor would have a hard time justifying the cost.

I had expected a high price on the knockout punch set. The propex expander price made me do a double take for sure. The thermal imager price seems dated, seems like there are plenty of more well-featured imagers for cheaper these days. As far as the radio, I guess it’s the Bosch tax for the charging feature.

Here’s my collection. Have another battery in the radio and a couple hand tools that aren’t pictured!. Really wish they had a Fuel jig saw! I have also been looking to upgrade to the new radio but haven’t pulled the trigger yet. I would love to add the new Milwaukee box to hold all of this stuff!

My wife finds it weird that I sometimes walk into the garage after I get home from work and stare at my Milwaukee tools.  I glad I’m not alone…

no actually they are 24.1MB in raw format and it does come in handy, you can open it up on computer and zero in on one area and crop it you  don’t lose any quality………

Sadly I’ve not needed a big assortment of tools until I recently decided to take on rehabbing a house and got disapponted with the level of workmanship on some of the jobs here so I only bought my first Milwaukee tool late last year and have been steadily adding:

Lol, I left out a couple of little things and my jobsite box now that I think of it but I’m sure sooner or later there will need to be an updated photo…

Sorry YiKKit, I can’t figure out how to quote on mobile but I picked up that organizer at Home Depot for ~$25

I think if I hadn’t been going to HD like twice a day lately I wouldn’t have caved and bought it right away. The day I bought the top and bottom I promised myself I wouldn’t walk by where I knew it was parked and run my hands over it again for the fifth time and as luck would have it an orange apron wheeled it in front of me to put it by the front of the store while talking to another guy about just selling one. I grumbled and walked immediately outside to the parking lot to get one of the heavy flatbed push carts and loaded the bottom onto it and went back later in the day for the top…

Ah! It doesn’t show up until I click on the post first! Thanks.

My HD usually only has 1 or 2 of the deep organizers at a time it seems. You can check online and it will tell you if, and how many, they have in stock at your local store.

regopit wrote:

I love it! I use it a lot for cutting laminate flooring and it will usually last 6-8 hours on a 4.0 battery. Obviously this is dependent upon how many cuts I am making. But this is including making straight cuts + rips so I don’t have to walk to the miter and/or table saw if it’s not set up nearby.

Just wish it had an LED near the blade and I wish it said FUEL!!!

PROTOOLNUT wrote:

HAHA thats funny, but you were lucky that they still had the top for sale 😉

Yeah totally. I was getting sloppy trying to keep my tools organized and it was a losing battle. The chest makes it easier to keep most everything in one place. I think next I’m gonna need a fuel 7 1/4″ circular saw and hopefully a fuel miter saw not too far into the future…
