Did anyone else see the m18 brushed skill saw and grinder go on clearance at HD? HD tool guy “Jose” gave me a heads up, so i ran over and picked them up. But he mentioned they went on clerance because a new model was coming out, and they aren’t returns because all of the stock was on clearance.

Yeah also their rigid x4 grinder and x4 bare tools where 75% off. I bought a grinder for $25 and a circular saw for $25

I hope there are some x4 tools left when I head home.

Wow…great deal if they have them in the stores. My local HD hardly ever has any decent clearance stuff out.

I usually walk through the isle looking for the yellow tag. These weren’t inn the clearance rack. They can be sneaky like that.

Not sure if you if you guys follow TIA Dan on periscope, but on his recent visit to HD he couldn’t find the Milwaukee’s Fastback 2 pack utility knife set, but i looked online and they are still available for 14 bucks. Just a FYI for a good buy.. But Dan kills it on periscope, i highly recommend it(very comical).

Are they available online?

I checked the store computer and they had a Husky 46in tool chest for $139 but they said they didn’t have it or couldn’t find it. The guy helping me wasn’t really helpful!!

even our home depot is a hit and miss with their online stock quantities…….I have gone to get stupid deals and low and behold 1 out of 5 are actually there…..the rest no one can find in store……

jrsalasMember since Jun 2015

I think its the luck of the draw on what you can find on a good deal. Just have to be at the right place at the right time. Good luck!

It helps to befriend someone who can relay messages and help out with deals on returned/damaged packing items. The guy i go to hooked it up with 25% off on dewalt brushless tool kit because the box was damaged by a forklift. Doesn’t hurt to ask for deals, worst they can say is no…

Man that’s a killer deal

I worked at Home Depot after graduating high school and I remember one day people were going crazy because an associate found they had packaged all a bunch of DeWalt XRP tools in the wrong boxes for the regular DeWalt 18 Volt tools. People were hoarding them, you’d like someone had opened up Ft. Knox.

Whoa those are some crazy deals!  I gotta stop in soon because I’m looking for that M18 circ saw.

ShuutrMember since Jun 2015

Checked three HD on my way to work. Both Milwaukee and Ridgid sale items were still scanning full price. The husky cart too.

BigmikezMember since Jun 2013

That Husky was a damn good deal!

DR99Member since Nov 2012

I was going to see if a store with it in stock would price match some people have had luck with that, but all the HD’s by me suck when it comes to stuff like that 🙁 I think you have to be out more in the country for that kinda stuff to happen.

DoofMember since May 2015

Where are these HD’s with the M18 grinder deal?

ChrisKMember since Dec 2012

Nothing here either Jason, probably one of those right place at the right time deals! Every once in a while I’ll find something like that. I got two Echo weed whacker a for $50 a piece as well as my Honda mower and barbecue grill!

jrsalasMember since Jun 2015

I couldn’t believe it either that’s why i jumped on it. Though they where defected but i have been using them a lot lately. [External image (images.tapatalk-cdn.com), not copied]

Those are awesome deals! I need to make friends with the HD employees..

Charles HarrisMember since Apr 2015

I was at HD a week or so ago. They were still at $99 they had probably 10 circ saws and 8 grinders. I went back this weekend and they were all gone and at the clearance price. I guess someone went in and bought all of them.

austinthecityMember since Jul 2015

DR what do you say to ask to use the store computer?

In the pro section there is usually one customer facing.

austinthecityMember since Jul 2015

Found it today and got on for a minute before someone started bugging me…

Didn’t quite know how to navigate it.. I think I clicked browse, then searched for Milwaukee but it was pretty cluttered.

Has anyone posted a how to for best ways to search using the HD interface?

Use the price check. Type the brand. Refine results. Click clearance. Click return to results.

Some stores get a little touchy when you use the terminals.

If you are in austinthecity, we are shopping the same stores. The only computer I’ve been bugged at is the mopac at braker location. But I also don’t linger on them or try to use them when contractors are trying to compile bit orders.
