The white shelf by the garage door is where i stash tool kits like my holesaws, larger corded drills, impact socket kits,3/4 inch drive socket sets etc, also all my things like WD40 and other various cans of spray stuffs or misc items like hardware or electrical or plumbing items.
Still need to build a workbench and get a jawhorse, but have most everything I need around the house.
I’m a machinist so alot of micrometers and precision tools in my roll away and with all my mechanical and electrical stuff for assembly purposes and such.
My garage is still a work in progress, alot of my wifes stuff still in there. I totally need to build a shed.
Looks good Fazzman!! I have 2 sheds in my back yard and some how some way my wife’s things always end up on the floor of my garage :/
We have take those nooks where we can get them.
The hooks on the tracks are Gladiator garage works. The ones that my rakes are on you can get at home depot.
The gladiator stuff can be pricey to start but I usually wait for a sale. I think ive gotten most of mine from Amazon. With Prime shipping on most of the stuff, its not a bad way to go. Im a bit compulsive when it comes to being organized.
They make alot of other pricey garage stuff too but the rails can be put nearly anywhere and they can hold alot. I plan on getting some more rails and some if the wire baskets to hold my kids bike helmets and other bulky stuff.
Both Home depot and Lowes have their own brand stuff that is similar to the gladiator stuff but the hooks dont seem as good to me.
Tornado hooks are nice and can mount right on drywall. My kids hang their razer scooters on those.

You can find the stuff here.
Maybe I missed it, but what manufacturer of tools boxes are those. They look awesome. I like all the different size drawers
They are Kennedy. Also made in the USA, the brown krinkle finish is signature to their lines from the old school days, althou depending on series they have other colors nowadays.
The lower box is a kennedy 315xb part of their maintenance box series,Middle is a 305XB, Top box is a Kennedy 506 machinists chest.
Both the 315 and 305 have ball bearing slides. Thanks Eric for taking notice 😉 You guys are awesome.
awesome set up, hey I got the same rake as you….lol
I should have taken pic at a different angle my leaf blower is blocking my cool Stihl hedge trimmer lol.
Some updated pics of whats in my box.

did a lot of hydraulic work back in the day……especially when I was in the chrome shop, grinding spools to honing barrels and making pistons and rebuilding pumps, manifolds, track adjusters you name it….
Yeah I have a set of Japanese made id mics up to 12.5″

Love the Kennedy’s. Reminds me of when I was in the machinist trade. I used to do a lot of 5 axis work on Matsurras and Okuma Howas. I was in the industry in the 90’s when the economy was in the toilet and I went from shop to shop trying to find work.
Yeah growing up around machine and fab shops all I saw were kennedys when I was younger They are great boxes.

Great layout Fazzzman, i love those Wiha screwdrivers you have there
Thank you, yeah I really like Wiha. All of the industrial suppliers around here carry them. Wera,Felo,PB Swiss great drivers too. I really like the handles on my SnapOn ones thou.

Nice setup drawers look good

Yeah Starrett stuff isnt anywhere as good as it used to be for some things. I love them for certain things like scales, pitch gages, edge finders, snap gages, etc I do have a Starrett 0-6″ blade style depth mic. All my indicators are Brown and Sharpe, and nearly every mic is Mitutoyo.

Yeah I have four or five metal signs from there. I love those old looking signs. Can’t afford the real ones so the remakes will have to do

Fazzman, happened across this post, been drooling over the drawers of tools, especially nice to see Kennedy kits in good working order; i have been eyeing those Ridgid stack boxes some time, was wondering how do you like them?

They are holding up well. I dont have anything to compare them with yet sadly.
Bump

Thanks for the bump KnarlyCarl. Somehow of the other this post had eluded me. I gotta say I live your tools fazzman. Do you do any kind of engine machining? You could do some serious motor builds with all those tools. Wouldn’t have to dick around with plastigauge at least.
Man, those Lufkin mics are SWEET!

Thanks bro, No idea how this post ended up in hand tools section.
I’ll be loading a new pic later of my cleaned up garage. Finally got rid of a bunch of crap, now I can at least pull a vehicle in for repairs. I moved around alot of my wall signs and such to make room formore.
Somethings i still wanna do is get a better tune box, build shelving or somehow aquire some cabinets folks are getting rid off,and definately electrical so i can get my big screen setup before football season. I have a 50″ projection tv I wanna setup in there, and a work bench somewhere in between. 🙂
Sorry fellers forgot to post the pic, hehe. Here we go an updated cleaned up garage/man cave.
Looks good.

Thank you sir, still work ahead to do.
Gonna work on some electrical coming up in the next few weeks. My dads good friend is an electrician,he is gonna help me tone wires so i know for sure what is going where. The wiring in this house is done kinda wierd and im fairly sure I can open up several legs in the panel,so i can send them to the garage. Which means I will have enough to run whatever i want in the future and not worry about frying everything,we just got a big ole spool of 10 gauge for a project at my old mans house. Im hoping to make at lest an 80 amp run to the garage, and get some lighting and such going.
Once i get that done I can get my screen setup in there to watch ball games and such, and get some shelving started. And i defo need to build a workbench.
Nice little play pen you have there Fazzeman

80 amps. I’m very jealous. My garage has a 20 amp service going to it.
You can never have enough electrical capacity in your shop.
