Alright so I personally don’t have much experience with tekton gear however my brother has the snap ring pliers and I love them. Their stuff to me looks a lot like the tools at Harbor Freight so I am just wondering what you guys think of them as a company and if they have decent quality tools. I have seen the reviews on Amazon and they get great ratings. Also the guys at TIA did a video about them and seemed to like them.
I have 1/2 3/8 short and long impact sockets and lovem man they take a beating and haven’t had none fail. I recommend U try a set the great thing is there prices I bought 4 sets of these impact sets from Tekton for the price I paid for my snap ons at the shop, since I’ve had these I haven’t used my snap ons
I have a lot of Tekton stuff and have been pretty satisfied with it for what it costs. It’s pretty much my go to when I’m looking for a budget tool.
In truth, some of their line is the same or close to the HF offering, but not always. However, with Tekton you get the absolute best customer service in the industry and a true no hassle warranty. The even warrant T&D’s, which is unheard of aside from some of the truck brands.
I bought a set of nut drivers for my impact driver. I use the for everything from HVAC work, driving Tapcons and lags. They have not let me down. I would buy again.
I have a pair of Tekton’s end nippers and they have held up really well so far. I also have the set of nut drivers for my impact too and that little set is awesome.

Is you set magnetic? Mine is not and that’s the only downside.

No, unfortunately mine isn’t magnetic either.
I really like what Tekton stuff ive purchased over the last couple years, they are really awesome for the price, and their customer service is top notch.
When I was looking for extended length hex and torx sockets, I was able to buy pretty much all of the tekton sets for the price of some others and they have held up just fine, the bits are easily replaced too.
not all HF stuff is terribad either, again it just depends what the items are.
What types of tools are you needing to invest in?
Fazzman. I was looking at some impact sockets and a few other little things like one of their hacksaws and bolt cutters. Is there anything you recommend getting or not getting? Like you said it’s like harbor freight there are a lot of great things there and there are also some I would just not buy.
Bloch98 U won’t be disappointed with either impact sockets from harbor freight and especially the Tekton, I own the Tekton and my buddy at work has the impact sockets from harbor freight and he’s owned his for about 6-8 months and I’ve owned my Tekton for almost 5 mines or so now and I’m very happy with them
I have some Tekton pliers, Ime not impressed. there hook an pick set is better then there pliers but still nothing like snap on. With that said for the price I don’t think Tekton is to bad.
yea their sockets rock, take a huge beating HF ones do too. I havent tried pliers or hacksaw from tekton yet.
Good hacksaws are pretty cheap wherever you go mostly. I think i have a craftsman hacksaw thats at least 25 years old or more and still works fine. I also have a snap on branded on,that ive seen with other names on it such as craftsman. just buy good blades and any hacksaw can be good if the frame is decent enough.
I have a bunch of different pliers from Knipex,Wiha,Klein,Gearwrench, crescent, craftsman etc but no tektons.
