Well….I bought one. That’s a heck of a deal!

DarynHMember since Feb 2015

This is extremely tempting, problem is I have the fuel grinder but I’m almost over the fence on switching to makita. This would help lol

Thanks Mike! I’m going to put that thing to use as soon as it comes in too. My Wife and I are going to be building a decorative retaining wall out front framed by some new gardens and this guy will make some quick work of over sized pavers!

That’s a very nice deal! Its one helluva unit.

Interesting to hear! What’s your thinking?

NERemodelingMember since Aug 2014

I’ve already got one.. paid almost that much for just the bare tool when it first came out.. I’m having a really hard time not buying another!!!

That’s a hell of a deal. Awesome grinder

IlliniMember since Aug 2012

Darn you, Chris! I was not intending on buying this grinder, but it was too good to pass up, so I ordered it last night. Thanks for posting this deal.

ChrisKMember since Dec 2012

Sorry Illini….I’m bad for junkies 🙂

Tool junkies that is 😉

Tough call I don’t really need a new grinder or another battery platform to be honest. I do have that Makita sander but no batteries or charger. Thanks Chrisk now I’m thinking of things now!! I really want a Fuel SDS drill more though.

does this kit come with 1 or 2 batteries?

99.9% sure it comes with 1 battery.. the part number on HD is XAG03M1. The 1 is usually not on the end of makita part numbers. Usually a z or m for bare tool or kit.. I guessing the 1 means 1 battery.

IlliniMember since Aug 2012

I’m pretty sure that John (NER) is correct in that it comes with only 1 battery. I can tell you for sure when UPS delivered mine today.

ChrisKMember since Dec 2012

Yup! One battery dude!

kornomaniacMember since Oct 2014

Thats an awesome deal. Man here in belgium we pay ( does have 2 batteries ) 500 ish euro’s for the grinder set 😛

NERemodelingMember since Aug 2014

Damn!! That’s around $560!!!! Full price on the 2 battery kit over here is around $400 (€357) for some reason Home Depot is just selling these 1 battery kits at a great price.

BIGBEARJTMember since Oct 2014

yeah think i got to grab it, just got the xph07m kit, and need more 4.0 batteries and i dont have a cordless grinder. so its win win

BIGBEARJTMember since Oct 2014

just got one from my local HD for $159, ordered on the website and they had a $20 off promo for makita tools, awesome deal, same price as the bare tool.

How exactly did you go about getting the additional $20 off?

HD did that on my M12 fuel hackzall. I bought the bare tool at first but they had a kit with the xc4.0ah for 10 dollars cheaper than the bare tool like 2 weeks later. You know what I did next was return the bare tool and bough the kit.

ChrisKMember since Dec 2012

Still waiting for mine, possibly on Thursday. Of course I drive to Florida on Saturday so won’t get to play too much 🙁

BIGBEARJTMember since Oct 2014

the $20 promo is something that is showing up as an automatic thing for me for i view the product page and add to cart. no tax for me, so i paid 158 with the promo.
