Finally I got a email from HD to pick these badboys up today! They came just in time so can takem to work 2marrow and test them out and I gotta do some work on my friends car this weekend plus this is my first fuel into the m12 line very excited, though the m12 3/8 fuel feels and looks a lil bulkier from the top part than the m18 3/8 fuel to me, mayby it’s just me but I’m super happy Thanks crew for helping choose this kit!!! T.I.A#1!!!!

Your gonna love that impact Mike!

BigmikezMember since Jun 2013

Oooooo those are nice Chris!! Yea it feels really comfy in the hand and feels powerful

ChrisKMember since Dec 2012

Yeah the grip is super on the gun (and the hackzall for that matter). Add in a 4.0 and your running all day. It is not an 18v but it’ll do a lot and it lasts forever. I love mine!

madman_usMember since Sep 2014

great kit you got there mike….let us know how you like them

rfwjrMember since Jul 2014

Nice, I look forward to your review.

NERemodelingMember since Aug 2014

Damn man!! Those are some good looking tools! Let me know what you think about the ratchet

BigmikezMember since Jun 2013

Used the impact wrench to run a couple lags to hang up my craftsman cabinet and of course it worked like a champ!!!!! NER I didn’t get a chance to use the ratchet yet but soon. Thanks Guys!!

Chris if it wasn’t this kit I was gonna go for the fuel hackzall kit but that will hopefully be the next fuel I get :}

Congrats Bigmikez the next two tools I want to get is the M12 fuel1/4 impact wrench and the M18 Fuel 1/2″ compact impact wrench. I probably wont be buying kits but bare tools though 🙂

madman_usMember since Sep 2014

its great that they offer bare tools too otherwise you would get flooded by batteries 😀

chadlanthierMember since Mar 2013

Nice tools big mike

Thanks DR!! I was eyeing the m18 fuel compact 3/8 wrench b4 this kit but when I saw that it came with the ratchet I had to jump on it I even think that the m18 might be a lil shorter/compact than the fuel I got but it’s ok not a deal breaker for me though but I will still keep my eye open for the bare tool to and I still need atleast another 1or 2 m18 batteries.
woodstockvaMember since Mar 2014

Nice!  Good choice Mike! 🙂

madman_usMember since Sep 2014

oh there is the free ratchet – damn that is cool….just looked at the photo a bit closer 😀

DPSEliasMember since Mar 2014

NICE!!! I just picked up the m12 3/8 fuel impact with free battery (as I got the ratchet last time this deal was around) picked mine up from HD as well. I used it to removed the cap off my truck and I liked it (don’t need much power for this but ease of use was great)

I have used the Ratchet and its a great little tool, working on my Quads and Bike this was very useful, but remember it’s not a high torque impact ratchet. Overall it makes quick work of job that have a lot of nuts.

Side note I am really liking these m12 fuel tools! they are my goto’s originally excuse for purchasing was for my girlfriend as they are small, light and powerful. These free bare tools/battery deals are hard to pass up……I have no will power when it come to tool deals…

madman_usMember since Sep 2014

yeah i can see you got lots of m12 tools 😛

thats a great idea to do it; i might copy that haha

Nice! I’ll look forward to your review on how they work! Always have been curious about the 3/8″ impact!

BigmikezMember since Jun 2013

Thanks FrosBros but im not good at specs and doin reviews bro but I am gonna beat the crap out of it at the body shop and im gonna lend it to our mechanic whos has been loving my M18  1/2 fuel, he’s using the M12 3/8 fuel today and he was kinda laughing at how small the battery was but I still hear it running so far 😉 I will for sure let u know how it does in a couple weeks being here.

madman_usMember since Sep 2014

ill go in the bosch 12v line when they are brushless 😛

overanalyzeMember since Oct 2011

The M12 line is growing way faster than the competition right now. I really hope Bosch steps up their 12v line this year!

Congrats on the new tools!

I’m amazed at how much smaller the Bosch 12v stuff is than my M12 stuff…

madman_usMember since Sep 2014

ya BK u r right man

BigmikezMember since Jun 2013

The bosch 12v is really compact and they had a great deal about 2yrs ago where they offered the drill and impact and radio with L boxes for a really great price I can’t remeber correctly how much it was but I had regretted so much not buying that kit but I am glad that I got into the m12 line though I’m a Dewalt guy an really hoped they would’ve expanded there 12v line but they didn’t so I went with m12 cus of there great line of tools they have and haven’t regretted not one bit.

madman_usMember since Sep 2014

ya i seen that kit too – i think it was at lowes.

a similar deal will come up soon 😀

Samuel L.Member since Sep 2014

I want the quarter inch M12 so bad.

MilwaukeenutMember since Sep 2014

Nice set can’t go wrong

DPSEliasMember since Mar 2014

BigMikeZ, I first got the dewalt 20v and naturally go into the 12v line and was disappointed that there was no growth with this line, and once the fuel stuff came out I was like Damn those are as powerful as my 20v stuff and I was sold. I picked the m12 because on how large the lineup was, did not want to get stuck in a platform that wasn’t expanding. I love my 20v stuff but almost wish I just went Red to start, but before brushless the Dewalt stuff seemed to be rocking it, now its almost even.

BigmikezMember since Jun 2013

Thanks NER im gonna check this out.

Looking at the M12 3/8″ ratchet and M12 3/8″ impact wrench but then I noticed that there is a M12 1/2″ impact wrench also. According to specs there is not much of a difference in performance in 2:nd gear but 1:st gear puts out a little more torque. Anyone have anything to tell about the 1/2″ model? The benefit of getting both tools with 3/8″ is that I can use both tools with the same sockets for quick changes between the two.

Whoa, M12 1/2″ impact wrench? Or is it the 3/8″ 12v, or the 1/2″ 18v? I hate to think I missed a tool…

ChrisKMember since Dec 2012

It might be a Eruo thing? Seems they get all the fun tools first! But that’s okay with me cause we end up getting the stuff without kinks!

DR99Member since Nov 2012

Yea the M12 1/2 isn’t sold in the USA. We only get the 3/8 and 1/4

Yeah that’s right, M12 1/2″ impact wrency. Did not find that model on the US site thou so it’s probably a euro model. Anyone with some experience on that one?
BK13Member since Nov 2013

Didn’t even know about it, but now I MUST HAVE it, LOL.

I sent Milwaukee a message on Facebook yesterday about it, but based on previous experience with other companies, I don’t expect a response.

I think it is funny how ratchets and impacts across the pond have kept the 1/4″ , 3/8″, and 1/2″ as the standard vs a metric alternative. Gotta wonder why??

Alot of stuff is reffered to in inches over here. But it is slowly changing to our standard metric system. Nails are often said as 3″,4″ and so on while it’s labeled as 75mm, 100mm and so on. Timber is also the same, we say 2×4 and 2×6 while it’s sold as 50×100 and 50×150. But it’s true like you say. The ratchets and sockets are still only measured in inches here. Strange indeed.
