If it’s a ford it will cost more to fix it,then it actually cost.

NERemodelingMember since Aug 2014

hey look on the bright side.. in a few months when it breaks it can keep your broken truck company

NERemodelingMember since Aug 2014

or maybe they think it might be able to wash some of the ugly off their trucks

NicholasShetleyMember since Nov 2013

I’m suprised it doesn’t have an ecoboost engine.

DR99Member since Nov 2012

Turbo charged lawn equipment would be awesome!! That turbo sound while mowing the lawn would be fun to hear!!

BigmikezMember since Jun 2013

Dan and Eric U guys gotta review this one!!

BremonMember since Dec 2014

I would trust it more if it was “professional grade”.

BK13Member since Nov 2013

Well, at least it’s not a Government Motors or Fiat product…

Poisonfangs85Member since Feb 2015

I hope it doesn’t have a Pinto gas tank lol

DiverDnMember since Jan 2015

Wonder if it comes in a King Ranch version?

I must be the only person that doesn’t care who builds his pickup as long as it’s big3 I had both a 06 Ford and 08 Chevy lease both were nice trucks. There were things I didn’t like about either truck though, but if the deal is good I wouldn’t mind driving any of them. My mantra is who has the cheapest lease.

not me man, GMC first.. Chevy is a fine second choice.  i just prefer the look of the gmc trucks more..    i think dodge and especially ford would have to pay me to drive one of their trucks!  lol!!!    i actually don’t have anything against ford or dodge and i agree that they all make very nice trucks.  they each definitely have their plusses and minuses.    for me its more of a family rooted thing.  my great grandfather actually owned a chevy dealership which was eventually owned by my grandfather.   GM’s have always been what my family has owned, trucks and vans especially..

DR99Member since Nov 2012

I will agree the GMC tends to be the better looking truck over the Chevy most of the time. I tend to think of GMC as an after though is besides the look there isn’t usually a huge difference between the tucks. Maybe a different power train is offered and more options that kinda thing. They did have that quadrasteer on GMC trucks and suv’s for awhile. The one thing on the 06 Ford I really liked was much space you had inside or the feeling of it.

chadlanthierMember since Mar 2013

I rember reading somewhere that gmc truck was just a Chevy truck with a gmc logo. Or maybe it was the other way around. One of the 2 actually sells their frames to the other. Rather than building their own, kind of like the tool companies.

BremonMember since Dec 2014

That’s common between a ton of brands. There’s no selling to each other, it’s just a GM frame going underneath a GM truck.

Just like there’s no more chevy small blocks, all engines are shared between brands, developed by GM Powertrain. Ford is no different with Lincoln, etc.

DR99Member since Nov 2012

It used to be different back in the day as GM ran things pretty different back then. Each division was almost ran like its own company. Now they certain cars or trucks can share a huge number of parts. the biggest difference is interior trim and exterior body panels. The guts and other things can be the same for multiple products if they share the same platform.

BremonMember since Dec 2014

That was when they had more than 60% marketshare to themselves. How times have changed.

RickyMcGrathMember since Oct 2014

I’d take one if it was a King Ranch or a Saleen version.

Can I just say that right now Dodge makes the best looking Truck.

Ha! I was going to say, “you can say it, but you’d be wrong!”

Just saying fords don’t look aggressive enough for my taste, and because Cummins are awesome.

NERemodelingMember since Aug 2014

I hear ya Samual.. both on the look of fords and that cummins are a great engine..

sorry BK.. your on your own with Fords 🙂   nevermind… you have Dan on your side!!

I wouldn’t say he’s on his own, I have a Ford and really wouldn’t own anything else.

BremonMember since Dec 2014

I drive a Chevy, and I’d be open to Ram or Ford next time around. Whoever makes the most competitive product gets my money. My dads side of the family is all GM, moms side is all Ford. (Yes I would say my Chev was the most competitive at the time despite the rear DRUM brakes haha).

If we only based it on looks, my votes go to ’15 Sierra, F150, Silverado, Ram in that order. Half ton only. 3/4 ton and up is Sierra, Ram, Silverado, Super Duty.

Poisonfangs85Member since Feb 2015

I like to arrive in style that’s why I always wear a Bow tie. I have been chevy through and through. I had a 96 Camaro SS that I traded for a Minivan

NERemodelingMember since Aug 2014

the great thing about trucks, like tools, is there is something for everyone!   never could you get everyone, even just on this forum, to agree on one brand of truck or on one brand of power tools.. its not possible      its a good thing though because everyone can get what they want based on their needs and opinions and the competition drives all the companies to continuously innovate and come out with better products which we all benefit from!!

BK13Member since Nov 2013

Sure it is, everyone just needs to think like me! LOL

Samuel L.Member since Sep 2014

The way i judge pickups is the simple phrase.

Real trucks don’t have spark plugs.

Nick WilliamsMember since Aug 2012

Certainly wont be as reliable as a honda pressure washer
