I was poking around on the Makita Japan site and saw this. If I’m reading it right it is more than 3 times as powerful as the current X2 blower. (13.4m3/min vs. 4.4m3/min). I’ve been itching to buy the blower, but now I might hold off until I can get my hands on this baby.

That’s the cool thing about Makita they do make the Dual voltage tools. If I wasn’t a Milwaukee fanboy and had a ton of batteries. I would go Makita I think. The only thing is Dewalt has the Cordless framing nailer and soon to be trim nailers. I have the Paslodes they are nice but the Fuel can be a pain.

thats a pretty nice blower – kinda looks like a potato gun haha.

really cool that you can use 2x 18V batteries on that, instead of going with a higher battery line

chadlanthierMember since Mar 2013

I wonder if shutting potatoes out of it would void the warranty.

Looks like a nice blower from makita and runs off both batteries can’t wait to c the stats

DR99Member since Nov 2012

I found the stats but they need to be converted from metric to sae. Speed is 54 m’s and volume is 13.4 m3.

Wonder what the price is going to be for this? It looks awesome honestly! I have the Milwaukee M18 blower and it is average at best. I mainly use it to clean anchor bolt holes, but this looks like something you could use around the yard!

Here let me help you being Canadian and not being bogged down by a system that every other country does not use I can convert it for you guys.

13.4 cubic meters=13400 liters/28.3168 liters per cubic foot= 473.2165 cubic feet per minute

54 meters x   3600 seconds  x             mile         = 120.795 miles per hour

  second                hour              1609.34 meters

phew!!    now thats sexy

i like how they put 2 battery gauges on the tool instead of the low battery indicators found on the other X2 tools

Gotcha. I’m a bit of a math nerd myself.

But google is awfully easy….

This tool will be released in the USA in about 5-6 weeks, the week of May 25.

NERemodelingMember since Aug 2014

Thanks for the update, Jess.. I suspect the 36v string trimmer will be here at the same time?

ChrisKMember since Dec 2012

Wow! How do you think they will hold to Dewalts new line?

NERemodelingMember since Aug 2014

2 words….. crush it. 😉

BishoptoolsMember since Mar 2015

The XRU07Z String Trimmer will be here next week. 🙂

great – everyone releases their products here in the states but Bosch doesnt.

BishoptoolsMember since Mar 2015

I’m an authorized Bosch dealer as well and I will be expanding my inventory with more Bosch in a couple of months.

I just received a bunch of these XBU02Z Blowers today.

This tool is a BEAST!

I am very impressed with what this blower can do. It is well worth the money spent if you need a blower.

When things stop being so busy at the shop here, I will upload a comparison video between all 3 blowers.

kornomaniacMember since Oct 2014

Hoorah !You mean the single 18v / older model x2 and the new one ? Also add in the 4 stroke handheld blower if you have the option 😀 for comparison reasons !

BishoptoolsMember since Mar 2015

Not the best demo video but at least this gives you some idea. https://youtu.be/-s9vpNeAr44

Great video Bishop ! The dub362 also arrived at my store today. Amazing power. Couldnt believe it at first 🙂

It compares or even wins slightly to the 1 HP 4 stroke blower BHX2501 by Makita/dollar

Amazing tool 🙂
