Just saw a clip on TV about the big train derailment in WV with the oil cars, hope you’re not part of that…
The mentioned that there have been no injuries or deaths so far. Conductor should be ok as he is a Union Rep he doesn’t conduct too many trains anymore unless he was doing a ride along or something.
ya i heard about that in the news today
Conductor U better get on here soon bro or were coming to look for YA!! In all seriousness let us know U ok man.
Yes, Conductor is safe & sound. The derailment was about an hour east of me on my territory and both crew members were my guys. 1 local went to the hospital complaining of inhalation, but most of those cases are just someone looking for a payday.
They aren’t hurt and the track conditions due to weather was to blame. It’s not uncommon for trains to derail account of bad rail, but it’s somewhat less common that they explode.
good that nobody got hurt or worse than that
Thanks for the update Travis. I hope your guys are okay. Crashes are traumatic….period. Even when the operator didn’t do anything wrong.
Good to hear from u conductor and glad to hear that no one was seriously hurt.
Glad to hear your okay Travis.. that explosion/fire was insane.. I imagine there is quite a mess to cleanup there. Is that something the epa steps in and deals with of is the railway responsible for cleanup of the debris and all the cobtainmanated soil and water??
