whats the difference guys ???

Clipped head nails are not code in a lot of places now. Clipped head was popular because you had more nails in your magazine that has changed as they have the offset full head nails now

“IF” my friend wouldnt be so kind, then yes but i could borrow his PC air compressor and framing gun.

+ he gave me a box full of nails.

just wanted to know to difference.

also heard about those arbox nails or so, anchor nails – which you can barely pull out.

i thing holmes mentioned those in one of his shows. are those available for framing guns?

Yeah, no kidding. Termites aside, I wish I lived next to that guy… LOL

If your buying a gun stick with paper tape or wire collated full head nails. Wire being the best imo. The plastic collated are nice but the spit bits of plastic everywhere..

For a repair like yours I would most likely frame it with screws. Get some nice grk r4 9 × 3 1/8″ and go to town..

im not buying a gun just for that job – friend gave me his gun 😛 so no need to buy one

Thanks for defining it DR, I have always used full head and kind of assumed that but really didn’t know. And what NER says dude….screw screw screw! Cost more but way more strong and GRK are the best in my opinion.

yeah i bought a pack of screws when i went to the hardware store for lumber and the new door.

on the same day i talk to my friend and he said – dude dont use screws, ill get u my gun. its faster and easier!

so ya, thats how i ended up with his gun in my garage.

just wanted to know the difference between those 2 nails/nailer.

If you have to dig out a nail with a catspaw it’s easier to get at a full head, just my .02

Other than mag capacity, I don’t see any advantage to clipped nails
