Eric I know you were bummed that Dan got the yellow tool box but hey who needs that get this instead! This looks amazing built in power strips on both cabinets, a peg board on the top! I dont know when they will be in stores but once I find one im getting it… that is when I can afford it! Also I dont know if this was posted before but I saw it and thought it was pretty sweet

they are nice but I would rather spend the money on tools….
So here’s a question….any chance this is the same company making the Dewalt box? Looks very similar and it wouldn’t be the first time tool companies use an outside vendor to put out promotional items.
yea they do look very similar chris I don’t remember if the dewalt had the outlets like this one I like the peg board on there 2 its gonna be hard to choose if I do pick either one of these up
Yeah it does look alot like the dewalt one maybe it is but they just added the additional locks and stuff and put the milwaukee name on it
It looks nice and the price seems good but I would rather have more shallower drawers on the bottom though. For that price I could live with it. I do like the built on power strip feature. I bet they are made by someone else for them from a reputable manufacturer.
So being a meat head I figure….”hey, I’ll check this cool box on HD”….then, knowing they have been sold out of the Dewalt box for over a month I type in “Dewalt Tool Box”….you’ll LOVE this KWC…..I found they have some upper units for the Dealt box for $125 shipped to the store. I bought one.

No peg board. This’ll look good in the new shop….holding those new Klein hand tools! I’ll have to wait for the Milwaukee one to show up. Maybe they will know the price down. Then maybe Bosch will have one. Then maybe Festool will have one. Then maybe…….
The Dewalt one has deeper sliders which is great for me because I am not a wrench turner. I need room for the small collection of hand tools I have and measuring equipment.
Damnit I think they should send me one for being DR99 the Milwaukee superfan! That tool box looks cool. The Dewalt is tempting just because of the price $125 bucks that’s super cheap

Yeah, I’m I agreement but for 125 and not tool boxes it will serve me pretty well in the shop. I won’t have the base box but it’ll look good next to my slightly yellow side of the shop 🙂

Yeah I just checked a while ago Mike and the base unit is sold out. I’d love to get the Milwaukee but the Dewalt is a lot cheaper. And like Travis pointed out and even in Eric and Dams review, it’s not a Mac or Snap On but it’ll do me just great!

My homedepot had a dewalt upper for 200 last week i was looking at it if it was 125 I probably would of ended up with it but hey I guess i can wait now
Definitly would have a hard time not walking out with if it was in front of me.

I’m just the opposite… I would like a bunch of smaller drawers, at least in the bottom box. I have a lot more hand tools than I do power tools, and more shorter drawers make organization easier.
I just hope these are close to the quality of the bigger HF boxes.

Well there is a first time for everything BK. I will agree with you on the shallower drawers for the bottom box. I could see the bigger drawers for a contractor or someone with a lot of bigger tools that won’t fit in a shallower drawer though.
Well, I guess that’s what shelves are for. Big tools in blow molded cases.

My new milwaukee fuel that I just ordered will look really nice in either one of these boxes
That’s cool you guys ordered that new gun. I am hopeful you could post something on it? I can order it but I honestly don’t think I could use it. My new Bosch IDH182 has a 1/2″ square drive for impact sockets and although I can use that for timber work (especially some landscaping and deck building this summer) I don’t do gear stuff so I just don’t need an automotive tool. I’d buy the Milwaukee over the Dewalt in the event I needed it but literally can’t think of a reason to have it other than to say “look at meeeeeee”!
I picked up both yellow boxes back when Dan & Eric did the review. I can’t complain either. Great boxes at a great price. I do like the flare added to red boxes and if I am ambitious enough maybe I’ll add a little fare to mine.
But the power cords sort of defeat the purpose of the wheels don’t they?

When they bring these boxes over the border I don’t know what they do but somehow the price skyrockets, then again its going to get worse now that the Canadian dollar dropped to 80 cents, that’s not going to help prices anytime soon.

I hope the Dewalt one comes back. I’d like the bottom to the kick A$s chest I just got. But boy oh boy, this Milwaukee chest does look sweet. I’m planning on installing a peg board in my Dewalt chest.
