New Milwaukee M12 vacuum came today…

Seems really powerful, but haven’t had a chance to compare it to the Bosch or DeWalt yet. The trigger is similar to that of a drill or impact. Squeeze it and it turns on, release it and it turns off. There’s also a switch so you can lock the trigger in the ‘on’ position.Photo from the original forumPhoto from the original forum

DR99Member since Nov 2012

What does your wife do with the Festool vacuum Chris?

madman_usMember since Sep 2014

ya that’s a good question

chadlanthierMember since Mar 2013

Chris that really sucks. I can’t believe u would let her near your festool stuff.

Yeah, it’s the Bosch band saw.

BremonMember since Dec 2014

Looking forward to some reviews of this little vac, even though I’m guaranteed to end up buying it. Only bought the M18 a few months ago but as always more can be justified.

MozeMember since Jun 2012

I’ll be comparing all three. Just need to come up with a good way to test them against each other.

BigmikezMember since Jun 2013

Oh wow I didn’t know bosch had one 2.

comp56Member since Sep 2014

when I see these little vacs I think of the cheap dust buster…..

JackTranMember since Dec 2013

Looking forward to that tool fight Moze. Are the other brand (Dewalt and Bosch) running 4.0 batteries?

Could you test the run time of the M12 on a regular 1.5Ah battery?

chadlanthierMember since Mar 2013

Tool fight, tool fight.

LOL, dropping the pun.

Here ya go:

madman_usMember since Sep 2014

looks like the bosch vacuum had a 1.5 or 2ah battery equipped on that picture. but for the comparison you switch to a 4.0ah battery 😛

how you like the bosch bandsaw ?!?!

really great review.

bosch has a really powerful suction. dewalts vacuum can hold up more debris because of the different design.

enjoyed watching it

MozeMember since Jun 2012

Thanks…

Not sure if/when I switched batteries…..?

The bandsaw is NICE! Super smooth cuts.

madman_usMember since Sep 2014

ya I just watched the review in your other post 😛

Fantastic video Moze! Awesome comparison! Very timely as my Ridgid shop smoked up the other day and I don’t want a big shop vac especially since I’m running two midis on my tools.

madman_usMember since Sep 2014

what the heck?! 2 midis ? for what do you need 2 😛 😛

If you want to push the issue Ridgid offers a lifetime warranty on the motor head of the vacuum. I wouldn’t hurt to get it replaced a wet dry vacuum isn’t perfect but it’s great as a beater vacuum so the Festool doesn’t have to deal with just really nasty stuff you end up vacuuming some times. Here is the info if you want to try and get it fixed/replaced under warranty. I love my Ridgid Vac I personally wish they offered something more like a dust collector. You know auto filter clean and all the goodies! https://www.ridgid.com/us/en/wet-dry-vac-warranty

Thanks DR, I’ll give it a try. I didn’t register it as it was a Christmas special about three years ago but maybe they’ll replace it?

The Vacuums don’t have the same rules as the power tools. It’s that weird Emerson/ TTI spit on who makes what. Emerson builds and supports the vacuums

moze,  great review!    i have the 18v makita, similar to the milwaukee and bosch.. i love it for fast cleanup situations or just little touch ups as I’m leaving a customers house.   no it isn’t perfect but it does a darn good job for what it is and how light and portable it is.

BigmikezMember since Jun 2013

Very nice review moze now I kinda wish I didn’t sell my dewalt vac :/ thanks for the video and great job!

madman_usMember since Sep 2014

runtime with a 2ah battery is about 15mins 😀

JackTranMember since Dec 2013

Great review Moze.

Im underwhelmed by the Milwaukee performance. Suction could have been improved. If it goes on sale, I might consider it.

That dewalt though, impressive.
