I’ve looked at those, they might be out of my price range, i would use it only a few times a year after i finish my project
Well if you don’t mind dropping a couple of coins…,the Johnson Bamboo 48″ is a rally nice level and I think it’s around 50-60. USA made too!
DeWalt box beam levels. I have the 24″, 48″ and the 78″ and they’ve been absolutely perfect since day one.

The HDs around here have the 48″ Johnson for $30. Lowes has the same model in a Mayes for the same price.

im not an expert on levels(thats why I’m here) but is that test really that impressive? and why would you need a level to do that?
im not bashing stanley i have one of there small pocket levels and love it!
No idea where they are made but I have a couple Stanley Bostitch levels that are pretty nice.
i decided that i wanted a level that will last a lifetime and those got great reviews! plus i got a great price!
Good for you Shade, I have a Festool made Stabilla and the thing is freakin’ awesome. Plus the warranty is sweet!

the warranty was another reason, i am known to be rough on everything especially tools
Warranty is a big deal. Specially when a manufacturer backs it’s tools with good ones. And especially when your dropping a lot of cash.
Lots of “wow factor” to that test. Only thing I have to say is “Terminal Velocity.” 50′ vs 150′ prob doesn’t have much difference and the shape of the level probably doesn’t all it to fall much faster at 150′ that it would from 20-30′.

they don’t have warrenties for crappy things, only for products that manufacturers believe in
Good choice! I don’t know much about levels (well, at least spirit levels, I’m way too familiar with surveying levels) but Stabila is a name even I know…
Nice level!!
