April is gonna be a yellow month [External image (i.fokzine.net), not copied]

Promises, promises. Dewalt really seems to be pretty quite.

BigmikezMember since Jun 2013

I sure hope so I cant wait :}

DR99Member since Nov 2012

April in the EU means January 2017 in the USA. Dewalt can be super slow at times bring tools over. The battery powered framing nailer was a big one. I also still can’t believe dewalt doesn’t have the cordless trim nailers out yet. That is a pretty big hole they haven’t filled in the product line.

Mr. YellowMember since Jan 2011

I wonder if the people at DeWALT do know why it takes so long with the finish nailer(s). Yes (s), because I doubt we will see the range at once (15GA, 16Ga and 18GA) Maybe they won’t even do a 15GA anymore as they discontinued the previous model…

Questions….

DPSEliasMember since Mar 2014

I want an IR Fuel competitor! I have there updated 1/2 in impact, but at 400 ft/lbs I would like more in the reserve but I bought it more for the batteries it came and it was discounted to much to not pass up

john92awdMember since Dec 2014

From what I hear north America is getting the 1/2″ drive wrench very soon. It sounds like a great tool but whatever happened to updating the compact Impact wrenches?

I had in my hand today.. Dahm! It is nice.. Compact.. 3 speed.. 950Nm

!!! 750ft/lb? I was getting ready to buy the 400 ft/lb one thinking that was an awful lot for a cordless tool. If that number is correct this thing will turn tractor trailer lug nuts. (o.0)

Hugh JassMember since Feb 2015

Now that I looked into it, turns out Milwaukee has one with the same torque since April. I’m shocked.

dwainMember since Aug 2013

and IR and MAC.

Mac tools cordless stuff is probably designed by the same engineers who design all the dewalt cordless stuff.

And anyone have an idea if it’s 950Nm on fastening or breakaway

DPSEliasMember since Mar 2014

750 ft/lbs isn’t a competitor to the IR/Fuel wrenches 🙁 Close but just shy

BigmikezMember since Jun 2013

looks pretty good they have the head part angled like the IR Impact wrench

Hugh JassMember since Feb 2015

Slightly disappointed that it’s not market leading (but what that Dewalt has produced in recent memory has?) but I’ll be buying none the less, still need a powerful impact and that is a lot of power.

DPSEliasMember since Mar 2014

Yea I wish this was at least a Mac clone with the added benefit of a brushless….agree with Hugh Jass I will most likely end up buying one……

Found a instagram post of the new wrench and upcoming… Batteries with bluetooth technology so you can connect with your phone and recieve info in a app? Sounds space-crazy to me. Can’t see a real world benefit with that. Only extra cost for the battery. Only hope they don’t make it a standard on every battery. https://instagram.com/p/yfUuobE36-/https://instagram.com/p/yhcXqTwIEp/

dano_ukMember since Dec 2011

The bluetooth compatibility is so that when the batteries are paired with your device they will only work when you are in range, it’s more of a security device if someone was to steal your tool or battery.

Kenneth DenmarkMember since Jun 2014

That is one of the features..

I see. But I don’t have to worry about that at my work. In fact we often borrow each others tools now and then so that would be frustrating if I borrow my screwdriver to one of my buddies and must then deactivate the security alarm or borrow my phone to my buddy along with the screwdriver.

Sorry guys if I sound pessimistic to this feature, I’m sure many out there would love this feature and therefor hope it comes as a alternative feature so not all of us are forced to pay for this thing we don’t need at all. I do need to add that I love innovative stuff and looking forward to see what it’s capable of and maybe even change my mind about the whole thing once I see it in action.

BigmikezMember since Jun 2013

I don’t know what to think about that one but what I know for sure is it ain’t coming cheap I’m sure

Kenneth DenmarkMember since Jun 2014

Trust me guys.. This is just one of the features, there is more..

midogrumpyMember since Jan 2010

why can you not talk about it ?

it is officially released in in Dewalt flyers !

thx

mike

midogrumpyMember since Jan 2010

Alright KWC, let’s see what it has to offer then 😀

PKDEWALTMember since Jan 2012

i heard it will also do things such as telling you the battery level of all your batteries in your truck or van so you know before you even get to the job so you know also something about about giving you an hour meter so you know how often you have used each battery and tool. and maybe something about date codes and registering in the event of you tools being stolen

Hugh JassMember since Feb 2015

Now THAT is a useful feature I’d want to get behind! I’d love to be reminded before I get to a job that I forgot to charge my batteries.

Seems like it stacks up pretty well with the Milwaukee 1/2″ specwise at least. Even matches or beats the beefier Milwaukee 3/4″ model on some points. That seems like enough of a upgrade to me from team yellow
john92awdMember since Dec 2014

Any word on north American release yet? I heard any day now but that was over a month ago lol

framerMember since Jan 2011

700ft/lbs?  thats pretty impressive.  the 36 volt has what, 350ft/lbs?

DR99Member since Nov 2012

The 36 volt has been out classed by the non brushless 20v impact wrench for awhile. Except for an updated SDS drill the Dewalt 36v line is pretty dated its almost 10 years old now with hardly any updates. http://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/dewalt-announces-newest-innovation-in-cordless-power—-36-volt-solution-55142867.html

I will add that all of the higher voltage lines are pretty stagnant in getting updated tools It’s mostly used for sds drills at the moment.

the sds is a great tool, and the circular saw and sawzall  is what keeps me committed to the 36v line.  the power and runtime cant be beat, especially if you use the 4.0ah batteries, which are only available in europe for some reason.

Appears the specs are out brushless 700ft/lbs and 1200ft/lbs breaking force

BigmikezMember since Jun 2013

When is that badboy hitting my neck of the woods!!!!

Hugh JassMember since Feb 2015

Looks good. Detent or Anvil? Can’t find a decent explanation of which is better for what.

DPSEliasMember since Mar 2014

Both have same ratings but I like the hog or friction ring myself, unless it’s a detention that doesn’t require a punch to get socket off. It even has 3 speeds! How exiting!

I can’t wait for this to come out! It’s exactly what I’m looking for and was one of my biggest reasons I was thinking of the m18 line

Hugh JassMember since Feb 2015

So hog is a toolless socket removal like most common sockets?

BigmikezMember since Jun 2013

All I gotta say is WOW!!!

BigmikezMember since Jun 2013

I love my 2763 Fuel Beast and I’m a Dewalt guy so this is very exciting that team yellow is also bringing out a beast of there own! I can’t wait for the Tool Fight between these 2!!

DPSEliasMember since Mar 2014

Yes the hog ring is tool less, you can use the detent tool less if you don’t put socket on with the hole lining up with th detent, but in general automotive impacts are hog.

Tool Fight! Tool FIGHT! TOOL FIGHT!!!!

JoshMurrahMember since Nov 2014

ooooh hog ring style available, sweet!  As others have said, I don’t like having a socket stuck on the wrench needing something to depress the pin, so hog ring is the way to go.

Gatorb888Member since Nov 2013

Product started shipping this week in US!

DPSEliasMember since Mar 2014

This is an exciting week!!!! I don’t need this but I want this…..been wanting a capable cordless impact, I have the updated 400ft/lbs DCF889 but would really like something to compare to my pneumatic IR gun….

Mitchell NewhardMember since Apr 2015

Hopefully we will see it by Christmas!

BigmikezMember since Jun 2013

Welcome to the forum MitchySlick! I wouldn’t mind seeing this under the tree this year 😉

DPSEliasMember since Mar 2014

Worst week ever if wont see till Christmas! but would prove to be a nice Christmas day to unwrap it!
