So, what tools are you guys hoping to find under the tree?
I took advantage of cyber monday @ Zoro and I now have the Fuel grinder and the Fuel 7-1/4″ circ saw in-route 🙂
Nothing too crazy. The big thing is the Greenworks 80v snow blower I got cyber monday for 100 dollars off
I’m thinking some kind of track saw…….
I’d love the Milwaukee hole hawg.
just if a hardware store or any store comes up with a delicious offer I might have a tool under the tree.
otherwise I will for next year 😛
I zero tolerance emerson with carbon fiber:) my wife knows.. Hope she gets it.lol
I bought myself a floor jack from HF.
ill take a bunch of HD gift cards and go crazy!! but other than that I saw my wifeys phone lookin up some more tough boxes for me so that would be cool.
I told the girls to get me the craftsman USA gardening hose. I hope I get it.
mike are you talking about the black hose cus I have three of those and its been 3 1/2 years under the sun and they have been great
Yea, the black ones. Now I really hope they get me one. I had one in my hand before and couldn’t get myself to pay $44 for a hose so I got a repair kit and fixed my old one instead.
I bought mine at kmart in a special yea I wouldn’t have paid 44$ either

How are those by the way..which one did u get?
Yea, It’s tough to send that big money on a really good rubber hose, but dealing with cheap hoses suck too. It’s a crappy cycle you get stuck in.
yup some times it’s better to pay 1 time instead of 3

I bought the 3 ton standard model they had on a Black Friday sale for $60-something. I haven’t beaten on it much, but it’s picked up corners of the GF’s Expedition maybe a dozen times (I HATE brake dust on the backside of wheels, and other random tasks). Works worlds better than the old 2 ton Performance Tool jack that I’ve had through:
a ’74 Datsun 710 wagon
’79 CJ5
’88 Toyota 4×4 pickup
’84 CJ7
’68 Mustang
’01 F150
Over the years that little jack has done a lot of lifting. But the new one is faster to lift stuff, more stable, and doesn’t bleed down when holding stuff up.
I have 2x 100′ hoses from HD for $20 each and there work great, even after 2years outside
Ive been really itching to get a sliding miter. Realllly hoping i see on under the tree this year!!

They’re awesome! Might be the best item Sears has left.
I need one too cunductor..my front yard has a craftsman full holes that came with the house… Its an old model anyone think i can get it warrantied?
@Bk13 i wanted the aluminum 2 ton. Still havnt picked one up yet.. I think they are 120$ish
wife wants one of those 100 ft. hoses you can fit in your pocket once ya let the water out…….

It’s definitely worth a shot!
The HF jacks are a diamond in the rough. I bought the 2.5 Ton (think it’s discontinued now) a little over a year ago and it’s been awesome.frankiegarcia19 wrote:

I’ve used it on out 1-1/2 ton Chevrolet dump truck several times, once overnight. No issues to report, thought I haven’t used it on the rear.
comp – those pocket hoses which you see on tv commercials ?! I think you can by those at wal marts too

You will like both tools I don’t think that I have used my corded saw since I got mine and I use my grinder to back cut my crown molding that thing is sweet.
Thanx conductor, im going today
Those aluminum jacks are awesome we use them a lot to lift sedan and mid size trucks when locking them on the frame rack for pulls at work

These were the last 2 handheld tools I did have a cordless version of, and every time I use them I find myself bitching about the cord.
I’ve held off on going cordless on these two because I wasn’t convinced a cordless version would be adequately powered, but the fuel versions seem to be up to par, so I decided to make the jump.

The aluminum jacks are kinda cool, but the light weight is really of no benefit to how I use them. I needed the extra lifting capacity and $100 in my pocket more than portability. 🙂
So I might have gone a little nuts…
I had a thread in the Makita section about a cheap 18 volt drill… well, I hate myself for getting into another charging system, but…

Of course, right after I bought it, a friend returned the M18 that I kinda-sorta forgot about…

Just what I need, two cheap 18v drills. At least the green one is a hammerdrill…
But that allowed me to buy this:

Love me some Fuel…. 2654-20 3/8″ impact wrench. Thought I was grabbing a 1/2″. Oops, I guess I’ll need to but another tool. Dang.
Then, I had to do a little work on the GF’s Volvo. And of course, my tools were all across town. I needed a T25 Torx at 5:00 on a Sunday, so I ended up buying a couple of Milwaukee drivers and some Torx bits. One of them is my first ratcheting screwdriver. And some trim removal tools from HF.

I really need to stop just wandering around Lowes. Impulse buys kill me.

A word of warning: a set of 3/8″ impacts with free 1/4″ impacts for $20 seems like a good deal, but WhoTF decided it was a good idea to skip putting size markings on them?
A little HF love:

With some older buys:

Some pliers:

Channellock oil filter pliers and Craftsman/WF duckbills.
Just as an aside, the sight of my fatassed 6’6″ frame trying to fit under the dash of a tiny little Volvo S40 must have been noteworthy… not to mention I can’t see crap up close any more…
Aaaaahh..The smell of new tools and breaking open the packaging, especially that stubborn Milwaukee packaging..nice bro
ya I bought the same bosch driver kit from lowes. cant complain for $9.50 for a 47piece set

Actually, I have a pair of the (free! w/ coupon) HF scissors that work very well on Milwaukee clamshell packaging.

Thats a nice looking knife.
I have always carried a knife, at work a Leatherman Surge and everywhere else a Gerber paraframe, I never put much thought into my EDC knife but just recently decided i should up my game.
I put two knives on my xmas list and thinking im gonna get them both the Kershaw Skyline with damascus blade for nicer occasions and the Kershaw Cryo II Tanto blackwash for everything else.
do you have any thoughts on these?
BK you should start a compact drill collection!
Well, John, you never know. Why do I need three cordless drills? Dunno, but I have that many. Plus a corded model.

I say go for another!! The only thing better than 3 cordless drills is 4 🙂
Nah, if I would have been smart, I would have just gone with more, different M18 tools rather than a little of this, a little of that. I’m not complaining about my M12 stuff at all, but one platform would have been a smarter plan.
i would love to get the milwaukee m18 fuel kit with the hammer drill and impact driver
Yeah, that’s the one I should have picked up (2797-22)
I’ve got the Fuel 7-1/4 circ saw and the grinder under the tree.
Waiting is a bitch!
The skykine is awesome, i actually recommended it to my buddies girlfriend to get him for xmas. The other looks to be one of there chinese lower end knives… Most kershaws undet 35$ are made in china, zero tolerance is the premium sister brand.NERemodeling wrote:

Yeah. I was aware that the cryo was Chinese made however it has good reviews and I intend to be a little harder on that one so for now it will do just fine, I guess I would have preferred spending a few more bucks on US made. I like the size, design and the deep-carry pocket clip
good to hear that the skyline is a good choice.
I’m sure these two will just be the start of a new obsession!

There has to be some kind of emergence repair that has to get done so you can break those bad boys in.

Now that I think about it, I do kinda want an M12 Fuel non-hammerdrill..

got that set for father’s day with the big batteries and have to say love it…….
Hopefully I get some more m12 tools to add to my team :}
