With this cordless joiner and the cordless RO Sander, and Planer, Makita appears to be making a play for the woodworking crowd.

I suppose time will tell.

surely there could of used there cordless grinder with a new accessory,instead of making a complete new tool.

Different RPM’s. Grinder has 10.000 RPM and the Plate joiner has 6500.

the biscuit joiner had been out longer than the brushless grinder.
