The other day my 12v ridgid finally died, after countless drops from the tops of ladders, lifts(once was from over 19′), and tool carts she has died. Not sure if it is worth trying the warranty or not.

All they can say is “No”.  But if they say yes then you are not out the replacement cost.

madman_usMember since Sep 2014

I would give it a try – nothing to loose

TylerDamaMember since Mar 2014

yeah I brought it to the tool rental center, 6-8 weeks to get it back (if they can fix it) but honestly it held up great. DR, that is a killer deal! If there is nothing that can be done with the Ridgid I may start to look at the M12 fuel…

BigmikezMember since Jun 2013

I’m just beginning on my m12 and lovin it Tyler u won’t regret it man

DR99Member since Nov 2012

The M12 Fuel is a wicked impact. I hardly ever use the 18 volt version anymore.

madman_usMember since Sep 2014

i never had a M12 in my hand 😀

BigmikezMember since Jun 2013

They feel pretty good I only have the hacksaw now but hopefully I will be expanding that in the next few months 😉

madman_usMember since Sep 2014

u will see some good deals in the new month

BigmikezMember since Jun 2013

That’s what I’m hoping for:)

madman_usMember since Sep 2014

im at HD tmw and ill check out what M12 tools they got there.

BigmikezMember since Jun 2013

Be cautious madman cus u will we be amazed at how much they offer in the m12 line

madman_usMember since Sep 2014

I checked it out – they have a lot of variety from those m12’s – but im not so impressed 😛

but I finally saw the ridgid tool boxes at HD – they are really really nice. im going to buy some during the holidays – hopefully they have a special on those 😀

BigmikezMember since Jun 2013

how can u not be IMPRESSED!….. LOL IT TOOK ME AWHILE 2 I WAS SET ON THE DEWALT OR BOSCH 12V TO BUT SEEING ALL THE REVIEWS ITS HARD NOT TO BE.

madman_usMember since Sep 2014

i don’t trust the reviews 😛 i make my own opinion

BigmikezMember since Jun 2013

I ment YouTube reviews sorry and I don’t mean those infomercials ones either

madman_usMember since Sep 2014

youtube reviews are ok, but not the reviews on homedepot.com or amazon.com

BigmikezMember since Jun 2013

I know man there so cheezy with those lol

madman_usMember since Sep 2014

those infomercials are just too funny on tv – from the little giant ladder or the special wheelbarrow….when they let people try out the wheelbarrow and they just say positive things, like oh im in the welding business for 25y and this looks like a good product. or the chiropractor; nothing to complain about…cant dmg your back or something like that lol

TylerDamaMember since Mar 2014

Just got the impact back today, and man I am impressed, they fixed things I didn’t expect them to and they replaced A LOT of the exterior body parts.

They actually fixed your original tool? I would have assumed they would have sent a refurbished unit out.

comp56Member since Sep 2014

ya you would think it was cheaper to grab a refurb instead of paying a guy

6-8 weeks?!?! I was told you bring to to the tool center, they verify its broken and you get a new one off the shelf. Who can wait 6-8 weeks?

Unfortunately, the home depot sent the tool out.yes that is a long time to wait but it is a lot cheaper then buying a new tool. Luckily I had a backup drill.

DR99Member since Nov 2012

No I have heard that the LSA is not the best in that regard it can take a long time to get tools fixed or replaced. The only thing I have heard is the HD tool rental spots can exchange out batteries pretty quick
