Looks really nice, happy I went with the fuel instead. Milwaukees grinder is a beast, and the Makita looks to me like it’s not as durable s the fuel. I don’t have a picture but you can google it.
OZ Tool Talk will have a review up for it later this week, it’s a powerhouse.
Wow, you found something that no one has reported on yet! The Makita brush less circular saw made the tool news the grinder didn’t

HD is the only place I can even find it listed outside of the Makita site. And it is listed as “out of stock online”. If anyone see it actuall for sale anywhere please let me know. I’ve been dying for Makita to release a brushless grinder. And with the 5.0 batteries being released in November, I will be buying myself some early xmas presents.
Makita is starting to came back they were quiet there for a while good to c them back I just damn Dewalt would hurry up and bring out more brushless tools like the grinder
they are all going brushless, then u will get your yellow items too 😛
I checked out the youtube video and it looks like it performs well for cordless
Here in Italy the grinbers can be only Bosch…for cordless I appreciate the metabo but I think overload protection is a strong weakness for cordless grinders…I’m an abuser.
agreed Claudio 😛
Javier u gotta get ur hands on that bro
I also use the heck out of my Bosch grinder too. ( 4-1/2 7.5 Amp) its the small one but hey its doing his job…
Grinders and circ saws have always been the 2 tools I was leery of going brushless on, but times are changing quickly.
Edit: I typed brushless, but I meant cordless
I would go brushless too – but I think my grinder will live for a long time 😀
I watched the video on this grinder and I think the Milwaukee has it beat 🙂
Milwaukees fuel line is killing the game right now
they are def coming along with they tools
This is true big mikez, i wouldnt mind some blue in my life tho

Dude, when you start getting that specific about colors, you might be risking the Man Card…
LOL
Don’t even bring up moave…
LOL!
so you are not man like when you know a bit about colors?
Just joshin’ a little bit. You know, men only recognize red, green, blue, yellow, purple, brown, white and black. And grunt when we eat. And only cook over open flame.
The only way you should know what color teal is, you were an NBA executive in the ’90s designing new uniforms.
Yeah, my humor is a little dry sometimes.
i got it what u were trying to say.
i just know a bit of colors because my wife and her mother drove me nuts with all the different colors; wall, doors, baseboards – carpet color has to match the tile in the hallway. the rugs we gonna buy, we have to find the colors which we have in the house etc 😀
finally i reached the step to be a professional interior designer lol
Okay, my unruly punk inner child is escaping… “the drapes match the tile floor…”
Bad Kurt! Bad Kurt!
<slapping the back of my hand>
And I really just call it ‘Makita blue’. Simple mind, you know…
The english Product info is up:

nice review….just buy some good wheels and it goes thru everything like butter 😛
Great review guys as always!
Excellent new tool from Makita!! I’ve owned the old model for years and never really used it much because it lacked power and would stall so easy.. it looks like they really addressed those problems in the new model.
Great review!
Anyone have the ability to put it head to head with the Milwaukee fuel??
Sounds like a great tool fight!
ya lets see it soon 😛
Great review. Tool fight, tool fight. Gunt, grunt.
Need some tool girls for that tool fight.
not a bad idea chad:)
I did a super quick, by no means detailed or accurate test but the results are very clear.
My old Makita BGA452 vs my new XAG03
2 fresh off the charger batteries
2 minutes on the clock
1 3/8 galvanized pipe about 3/32 wall thickness
the BGA452 made 5 cuts (I tried to push it as hard as I could without stalling, did stall once) 2/3 bars of battery remaining after the 2 minutes
the XAG03 made 8 cuts and never even came close to stalling 3/3 bars of battery remaining after the 2 minutes
60% faster!!
Again this was a very crude test but I was stoked by the results and thought I’d share
