Tool only $229 over at the tool nut
I’m gonna have to break down and get a cordless circ saw. The tech is finally good enough I believe.
I’m just glad that I held off on buying the fuel 6-1/2 saw. I would have been pissed.
I’m having some rage right now 🙂 I have some choice words for Milwaukee right now!!! I wonder if Makita and their full size circular saw made them decide to make this.
Work of art my friends
In the early shots of this saw, it had a vacuum attachment on the blade housing. It would be nice if all future “saw” products had a hose attachment that worked well. Customers love a clean house/yard.
got the 6-1/2 ” and love it , Will buy this When it comes Down under
This is my next saw Regopit. I’ve been waiting patiently….. 🙂
7-1/4″ cordless is a monster saw. I like the the LED too.
I have been heavily considering getting a cordless circ saw. I am glad that I found this thread. I think that I will hold off for this one

I have the 6 1/2 non fuel saw and it works great and was going to up grade to the fuel I’m glad I saw this before I pulled the trigger. Mow I’m playing the waiting game.

I can sorta understand the rage, but I think if I would have bought the 6.5″ I would have been okay with buying the second one. But I an a bit of a tool hoarder…
It’s just hard to justify having over 400 dollars in cordless circular saws 🙂 Having both would be nice. I just like that the 7 1/4 has better blade selection for the most part. You just can’t get some blades in 6.5 yet.
Oh, I understand. That’s the difference between a guy who likes to collect gear for the heck of it and someone who makes money with his tools.
Would love this to have the blade on the left and not the right being right handed but I’m sure its going to be very well balanced that it probably wont even affect the long cuts through a couple layers on flywood and am so glad I haven’t gotten the 6.5″ circ saw yet….what I would give for a fuel sawzall and 7.25″ circ saw set so I could save a little on both….would be even beter if they could throw in the paddle grinder in a set as well.

I actually didn’t like my non fuel 6-1/2 and sold it. I’ve been wearing for this one to come out, I figured I’d stay corded but when I bought my Ryobi Airstrike, I bought a ryobi 18v lithium battery with the little circular and I forgot how much I liked having a cordless one for working outside.
Don’t get me wrong, the ryobi is a little saw with not enough power but it’ll cut through 2x material for those quick cross cuts. Plywood cuts…..? Not so impressed.
im a DEWALT guy and I love my 20v circular saw but ive been seeing some youtube review of the fuel saw 6 1/2inch and man I gotta say this one is a beast so I can just imagine the bigger one coming out!
I just looked and didn’t even see this on milwaukee’s website, why keep this a secret!
Tool companies like to keep things under wraps till they can have the big reveal at their media event. All of the big tool companies do it.
Any idea on when that event will be lol because I really want to buy this! Or aren’t they actually having that this week? I think i heard 12th to 15th somewhere for milwaukee’s symposium
They are having it tomorrow. The saw won’t be released then but would most likely be available by the end of the year though if they do unveil it.
Just checked their website again and they’ve got it on there, also with a couple new rotary hammer drills that I’m really excited about as well. Looks like another great round of new tools coming from Milwaukee, only thing I didn’t see that I was hoping to see was a revised brushless version of the m18 multi-tool but that I guess I’ll have to wait even more.
With everything I have read the last few days about this saw it is going to kick the Makita 36V saw to the curb.
It’s hard to imagine though isn’t it? Surely the extra 18V pack is going to either give you longer runtime (even against the BL motor), or be far more powerful. I’d like to see that tool fight!
TOOL FIGHT!! TOOL FIGHT!! TOOL FIGHT!!!
TOOOOOOOLLLLLL FIGHHHTTTTT!!!!!

Don’t tell fanboy that. He might just suck his thumb right off in abject anger!

I would drive my boss nuts. When we would work late I would pop his M and N keys and switch them, It would drive him crazy.
Now that’s just evil 🙂

This reminds me of that Big Bang Theory episode where Sheldon was all bent about moving Thursday night hang outs to Raj’s apartment and he compared it to ending the use of “M” in talking LoL! Its not funny unless you’ve seen the episode 🙂

This is very true except DeWalt sometimes, I don’t know why they do it. Its not so bad but when they announce something a year out then decide not to bring something to market then not let people know is just dumb. Like their 20v max dual bevel chop saw, they announced it like a year and a half ago but decided not to make it?? That was about dumb!
I think the 7-1/4″ saw is for sale online already, would love to see a tool fight between the cordless and the corded
I have a good amount of 20v tools, and started a collection of the M12’s and I think I might need to buy some M18’s I think Milwaukee is kicking some Arsh when it comes to there lineups……Plus coming from RC I like the Brushless motors.
Yea I have an addiction to tools too…..It gets bad when the cold weather appears.
the only thing that sucks is that i normally use a wormdrive when working and the blade is on the left side and i am right handed so i have perfect veiw of the blade all the time and the 6 1/2 fuel circular saw is the same way which i love but now they changed it so it back on the right side like a regular sidewinder gonna take a while getting useto it if i end up using it often!!
they should just make it a option which side u want the blade on would be fairly easy for them and also better for the customer!!!
My saw arrived today and I will be giving it a good work out in the AM
Let us know how awesome the saw is Regopit. I’m still bummed having the compact saw 🙂 Oh well I will just upgrade later 🙂
U lucky dog regopit!!
It’s a beautiful saw that’s for sure. My only issue with it is the blade on the right.
I have the non fuel 6.5″ and if I need more than that I break out the worm drive.
just ordered this saw. i live in the uk where it appears to come in a solid kit box and dust extractor adapter on the side.
U lucky dogg Dan!! 😉
Hey, used the saw the last couple of days on a kitchen install. first impressions are great, i had to trim the bottom of a solid oak door down 35mm thick, it ate thru it quite easy. then i was ripping down 18mm plastic wrapped mdf panels down no probs. overall ive done about 10 cuts and still have 2 bars of juice left.
Ive got some framing to do today, will have to rip some osb so we will see how far a single battery will go.
Not enough testing yet but generally im impressed saw feels of high quality. primarily being a festool user it doesn’t quite hit those standards but a nice tool for sure.
I wish they would make a shoe for it that would fit festool rails that would be sweet.
scope of delivery in the uk for full kit as follows
1 hard plastic kit box
1 rip fence
2 4.0 xc batts
1 multi voltage charger
1 dust extractor nozzle
24 tooth blade.
Well, if Festool is your point of reference, nothing else will measure up… LOL
If you have the chance Dans1210 I’m curious to see what the kit box looks like. Milwaukee sells the fuel circular saws in the USA in tool bags. It’s a bummer but its a sign of the times. Kit boxes are dissapearing to toolbags.
Will get some pics tmoz 🙂
I have so many dang bags man I miss the hard kits
