Oh I’ve shot myself in the finger a couple of times and that hurt like a mother. But shooting yourself in the nut makes mine seem like a splinter.
I shot a finishing nail through my thumb one time. IT went dead center into my finger nail and through the bone. The doctor in the ER had to use a pair of side cutters to cut the head off and a pair if vise grips from my tool box to pull the nail through.
I hear finish nails are the worst because they like the bend around knots or basically anything hidden and can come out where you don’t expect it to.
This was just plane dumb on my part. I was not paying attention to what I was doing hanging some crown molding. It was at a weird angle holding the trim had my finger on the trigger shoved the gun in and when the gun pushed the safety in it was my thumb and not the trim. I had nailed my thumb to the trim. What a dumb ass move.
Ouch!!!
Nail gun…..testicles…….ouch!
