No credit to me….I was just checking over at ToolGuyd and we were wrong!!!!!! Another tool box, non modular. But….American made!!!!

Interesting concept. Still hoping on a modular stackable unit. Considering Dewalt has two versions of what i am looking for, they will probably get my couple hundred dollars. It might work as a painter’s/mudder box.

When is the yearly product convention/demo?

ChrisKMember since Dec 2012

Beats me but according to Stuart, this won’t come out till August…..AND….they may have polled some people and there is not enough demand for modular?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! Arghhhhhhhhhh. Guess I’m going to try Dewalt out 🙁

Milwaukee might feel that the market is too saturated now to compete in.

You mean like the scissor and marker market? 😉

KaHuNaZMember since Mar 2014

I like this box already. sure looks like it beats the bucket im carrying around already.

Punda1991Member since Dec 2013

I’ve yet to see tough boxes on a job site lol

Punda1991Member since Dec 2013

Most construction companies are too cheap

ChrisKMember since Dec 2012

Ask Regopit, that seems to be all he uses and they look to be really well built. And keep in mind this is from me….Milwaukee dude. I’m really disappointed by this. The two boxes that are out look like really well built boxes and definitely fit a need but…

DR99Member since Nov 2012

I think I might be putting most of my Red tools in Yellow and Black T-stacks. I don’t need a tough box durability, but I need to organize my tools better.

Punda1991Member since Dec 2013

I know he owns them, I’m just saying I’ve never seen them out in the wild yet! It’s really expensive but it’s a good investment! Red will launch more boxes

ChrisKMember since Dec 2012

I hope they do Punda, but I’d like the modular units. I love my L boxxes and Systainers but I’d like to have a few red ones to put my red tools in!

the comment about the market poll is his guess as to why they haven’t come out with any- doesn’t mean they wont or will. I’m interested to see their stackable boxes if they ever come out with any. I will expect them to have something extra like a wire stripper and bottle opener built in

Well….duhhhh. And maybe some innovative Job Site Scissors on it and a Heavy Duty Job Site Beer Helmet with wire stripper attachment!

Punda1991Member since Dec 2013

I have faith they will! Dewalt bosch makita festool not Milwaukee doubt it, my guess is they are just taking there time with them going for perfection

the Jobsite box lid is detachable and can be used as a safety hat with built in beer holders 🙂

That’s why I have been holding out, my Hypoid saw needs a home. I figured if Milwaukee does it, they’ll do it right. Something super strong like Dewalt’s system but innovative like the new Milwaukee box.

Punda1991Member since Dec 2013

I have a feeling they are saving the best for last

ChrisKMember since Dec 2012

I hope so Punda. It’d be nice to see Milwaukee hit it out of left field with a phenomenal modular unit. I keep waiting. I hope they release the next one soon.

Punda1991Member since Dec 2013

I’d bet on it

Punda1991Member since Dec 2013

They know they have to do something, I’m sure they read this aswell lol

And that my Be-hotches….is how it’s done!

ChrisKMember since Dec 2012

Now stand back….I gotta take a wicked piss!

regopitMember since Feb 2013

You can deal with this one or two way. You can wait around and hope that Milwaukee puts something out or you can go buy a really nice box that is already on the market.

Milwaukee does some strange stuff. You would think that they would have a 18 volt fuel Nailer  on the market but it looks like TTI is putting that R&D into Ryobi.

Have you ever heard to saying Wish in one hand and shit in the other and see what fills up first. It’s kind of the same waiting for Milwaukee to put out a better box then the tough box.

DR99Member since Nov 2012

Regopit is kinda right one this one. I personally would wait for the new product symposium if I didn’t hear anything by then and really wanted a modular system I would look someplace else. It also comes down to the fact that SBD is so much larger than TTI they have more resources to work with. I might either start buying Tstacks or Lboxxes I don’t need a tough box level durability.

Punda1991Member since Dec 2013

That’s what I’m saying dr99 I’m gonna wait it out cause I’m not gonna die if I don’t have them right away and I have the hope that Milwaukee will launch some If not guess what I’m going to buy?!?

ChrisKMember since Dec 2012

I am in agreement. I guess Milwaukee doesn’t read this stuff. Besides, my Ryobi 18v nailer is fitting nicely in one of my Systainers. I think I’ll get the drawer Tough System. Be nice to sit over my MFT/3! Keep clamps and such.

You should post a picture of that over in the Festool Owners Group. That go over like a fart in church. 😀

Speaking of Systainers go over and enter to win a Systainer Shop Package  6 Systainers and a cart http://festoolsweepstakes.com/

I already called a couple of those guys out for bashing TiA!!!!!! I was really ticked off. I should do it too! I’m know. At my job I’m know for being the guy that is always pushing back. I like to screw with my bosses 😛 id do it just for the laughs. Right now I’ve got all of my Festool clamps in an l boxx!!

You do no that some bloke in Germany is having a heart attack right now thinking about a Ryobi product in a Systainer 🙂

At my congregation theres some older folks that let em rip and if you look at them they’re all casual about it like nothing happened LOL they probably don’t even realize it was them or that anything even came out

my milwaukee tools might end up in l-boxxes or t-stacks if milwaukee doesn’t speed it up. I almost bought a nice fatmax box that had 3 boxxes built in and they were on a hinge and opened up like stairs and had a telescoping handle with a couple of wheels. It was real nice but the idea of all built in drew me away

Javier,

Careful about that tiered box. The wheels and axle are weak. I also read the handle is extremely weak. I was looking at one of those and doing some welding to make a new wheel/frame. I dig the design but not the execution. There’s even a guy who put straps through the frame to carry it up stairs. He never did show himself taking it off, or picking it up off the ground.

I’m still in a holding pattern myself, looking for a stackable Milwaukee set.

JavierMember since Aug 2013

That’s good to know Jeremy. I wouldn’t treat it like Eric and Dan do with their toolbox tool fights so as long as it would survive normal use I would be OK but I don’t think I would go for it because it’s not modular.

I kinda like the bucket box. Not completely sure why, but I do.

I have three of these, my Local Home Depot was selling them for $45 for a while. I keep one full of electrical tools/junk, the second full of plumbing tools/junk and the third full of trim tools/junk. They are handy boxes and I was pretty excited about the price.

I’d buy one in a heartbeat for that price but still $79 at mine, not a bad price I think but high enough where I’ll look around

Dewalt is coming out with a version soon. It looks to have a much heavier duty frame/wheel setup. You can’t see it fully from the back though. I saw it on one of the other blogs, he has an “article” on it.
