Just wondering if the fuel line up has treated you as we’ll as mine have. Share some jobs or stories where they really set the bar above other brands.

DR99Member since Nov 2012

My Milwaukee Fuel tools have been treating me fine the Fuel Sawzall getting the biggest workout lately. I can’t say I have had anything negative to say about the tools so far. It really handled a Demolition job with out breaking a sweat.

Conductor562Member since Nov 2011

I have a ton of Mikwaukee tools, but not a single Fuel version.

frankiegarcia19Member since Jan 2014

My m18 fuel hex impact driver shot out 15 feet after i lifted a automotive rack and the driver got caught in between the automotive rack and the trucks frame i was working on. Picked it up “took a licking, kept on ticking”

🙂

My fuel hammer drill has an unbelievable runtime. Hammer drilling and even mixing concrete doesn’t kill the batteries quickly, just doesn’t want to give up with 4.0 batteries

firefighter4187Member since Mar 2013

Fuel hammer drill is great!!! Seems like i never charge the battery!

Punda1991Member since Dec 2013

I have the 1/4 impact, hammer drill, and the fuel sawzall and they just make life easy… Only problem is everyone goes reaching for them at work! So I picked them up fuel m12 impact and drill and they love them just as much! Gotta love company American Express cards

Punda1991Member since Dec 2013

I wonder what the next fuel tools to come are? What’s your guess?

DR99Member since Nov 2012

18v SDS hammer drill is a solid lock, We might see jig saws and a multitool possibly a porta bandsaw is a possiblity. Also the right angle drills might be updated they have been clearance on clearance at the local HD that is possible sign but who knows 🙂 Would be cool to see the ratchets updated but they are still fairly new.

Punda1991Member since Dec 2013

I’d like to see a fuel hackzall, and fuel rotary tool and fuel brad nailers as well as a framer! Plus your list as we’ll…. Plus I think they should jump into the hand tools more, I really like what they have now. If they could somehow make hammers, chisels, socket sets, glue guns, ect that would really make the superior in the tool industry.

Punda1991Member since Dec 2013

Them*

JavierMember since Aug 2013

My Milwaukee store rep late last year told me that by 2015-2016 all m18 tools will be brushless. It seems doable but at the same time I’m a bit skeptical

Punda1991Member since Dec 2013

Also has anyone launched any brushless corded tools yet?

Punda1991Member since Dec 2013

Javier that would be a game changer!

They don’t have many tools left they got a good 1/2 of the M18 lineup of tools done. The only thing I could see them not doing is the specialized tools kike the pex tool, propress tool, and knockout tool I’ll toss the grease gun in too with that list. What other tools need to be upgraded the caulk guns, vacuum, right angle drill, jig saw, sds rotary hammer, oscillating  multi tool, bandsaw, and hackzall, blower, and the metal cutting circular saw. That’s not unrealistic to think that time frame isn’t possible. Now the M12 line that might take awhile they have a bunch of crazy one off tools on that product line that might take up a lot of time to redesign.

NicholasShetleyMember since Nov 2013

I think if Milwaukee made a lot of the high use corded tools (grinder, sawzall, miter saw, ect.) brushless it would put them into a new league.

Punda1991Member since Dec 2013

I agree dr99 your 100 percent right, and Nicholas your also thinking like me. If they had fuel corded tools with vibration control, rubber grips, led light, rafter hooks, variable speed, lock on switches, brushless, longer triggers, and tool less changes that would be game over for other company’s also I really think they need better vacuum attachments and I like when the cord can be removed like festools! I’m just dreaming here but hey that’s what I’d like too see

it’s not unrealistic to get it all done. I think they could have done it all not too long ago but the way they do things is to trickle in a little at a time so they always have news of upcoming tools so they don’t lose momentum. If they released everything all at once they would be quickly out of the spotlight
DR99Member since Nov 2012

Yea I don’t think we are going to see any crazy changes with corded tools because the current power tool industry push is having a cordless tool with corded power and convenience. I don’t think Milwaukee has changed anything in their corded in awhile.

Punda1991Member since Dec 2013

They need to update the super sawzall and the circular saw at least lol dr99 let me dream man

JavierMember since Aug 2013

Punda1991 wrote:

Javier that would be a game changer!

yeah that would be awesome. I have a feeling in a few years all big brands will go 100% brushless on cordless tools. Who ever gets there first will get lots of recognition. We all know who’s closest to that point
Punda1991Member since Dec 2013

Do you think were ever gonna see a 5 amp hour battery?

DR99Member since Nov 2012

Metabo has 5.2 ah battery packs already, and rumors about Makita releasing a 5ah pack have been around for a few months now, so its an almost an assured thing a major brand in the USA will have 5ah packs this year.

Sorry I was just trying to be honest we just haven’t seen much change on Milwaukee corded tools the past few product symposiums 🙁 One thing I’m surprised we haven’t seen is a Fuel Hole Hawg style cordless drill yet. The current right angle drill is more about being compact and not about power.

Punda1991Member since Dec 2013

I think they have a m28 hole hawg styled drill? I know about metabo and makita I meant milwaukee? If they did we could really start powering some heavier tools such as a hole hawg no problems at all! A fuel version would be spot on for professionals

Punda1991Member since Dec 2013

Also I wonder if they are ever going to launch stackable cases they are slacking on that 🙁

Yea they have a hawg on the M28 line but I consider it orphaned product line at this time Milwaukee doesn’t market it at all anymore, and I hasn’t been updated or expanded in 4-5 years. Bosch and Makita are the only ones actively pushing 36v-28v high voltage tools. Dewalt hasn’t touched their 36v lineup either in awhile.

Punda1991Member since Dec 2013

Yeah I haven’t seen one m28 in any job sites I’ve been on, I was just saying the offered it. But the stackable boxes are first on my list now that I think about it! I have way to many milwaukee bags it’s not fun loading my truck

JavierMember since Aug 2013

Send those bags my way if you don’t need them

DR99Member since Nov 2012

NP I kind of forgot about the M28 drill anyways 🙂 We did have one guy ask for help about the M28 right angle drill though awhile ago.

frankiegarcia19Member since Jan 2014

I woukd post on here. But u guys all have said What im thinking.lol great minds think alike:)

Punda1991Member since Dec 2013

Right… You guys don’t miss a beat on here! Lol Javier when the boxes come out they got ur name on em. We’ll my names on them too but you know what I’m saying lol

Punda1991Member since Dec 2013

My bags that is.

Imagine an M18 pack with a cord. The pack merely acts as a DC converter to give you the ability to run the tool on electric in higher use situations. How awesome would that be.

Dewalt tried that with the their 24v lineup it just didn’t take off for some reason but that was back in the 90’s. I guess the adapter was expensive as the tool so I didn’t get much uptake by consumers.

DR99Member since Nov 2012

This company keeps trying to sell these belt setups you can use with your cordless tools,  but with modern 4.0 ah packs your not getting a huge boost in runtime.http://www.theultimatepowertrip.com/

RedSionnachMember since Aug 2013

I guess they would be handy if you needed/wanted to hold onto your nicad platform.

JavierMember since Aug 2013

I like conductors idea of a ac cord and adaptor instead of batteries. Would be great on tools like saws. Would dig that on a multi tool.

Punda1991Member since Dec 2013

That would be bad ass conductor, hey on Facebook milwaukee said guess the next m12 fuel? I think it’s a hackzall

Conductor562Member since Nov 2011

Thanks Javier and Punda.

At least someone recognized my genius 😆

I actually emailed milwaukee about this because I was wondering too. They said no plans for the future…..boooo! Woulda been really nice.

Conductor562Member since Nov 2011

All of my emails to Milwaukee have failed to get a confirmation or denial. I get a standard fuck you response that goes something like:

“Thank you for your interest in Milwaukee Tools. Unfortunately we do not currently offer a cordless rivet gun as part of our M12 or M18 lines, but our team is always interested in ideas for new and innovative products.

Thanks you for choosing Milwaukee.”

🙁

RedSionnachMember since Aug 2013

Gotta love the form letter response.

Same here Conductor. I am on the verge of buying an M12 Hex impact just to get the FUEL. Right now Milwaukee is giving away a free tool with the purchase of a FUEL tool… 3/8″ ratchet is tempting bait.

Punda1991Member since Dec 2013

Do it brien! It’s night and day difference in runtime, and added power!

DR99Member since Nov 2012

I got the ratchet kit when it was on sale a few months ago its pretty nice. Haven’t had the chance to use it as much as I would like to though. We are finally seeing some spring like weather here in Michigan, but not by much.

ChrisKMember since Dec 2012

I’m holding out for the new Fuel M12 Hackzall that really looks like a really handy tool.

JavierMember since Aug 2013

Now milwaukee will have some nice fuel m12 combo kits, I’m sure they will announce more m12 fuel tools but for now it would be nice to have a 3 piece fuel combo kit with drill driver and hackzall

Punda1991Member since Dec 2013

So wait they did announce the m12 hackzall?!?!?
