I have two DC 9180 battery packs that seemed to have both died (curious). I went to buy replacements and was amazed at the sticker price for new batteries. Is it possible to open the packs and simply replace the cells myself any cheaper?
There is a 2 year warranty on those batteries, check the date code before you do anything. It is not easy to replace the cells. If you do buy new ones, look for the double pack (DC9180-2) it will be cheaper than buying 2 individually.
