Common Dewalt just do what we ask for, quit messing around

schalk2585Member since Jun 2011

Ya no doubt why they prolonging the release it better be bad a..

One NutMember since May 2012

How about a release date? New features? A couple pics? Throw us a bone!

Absolutely love Dewalt, everything I own is the Yellow and Black, but I’m sorry to say the current radio (which I also own) doesn’t hold a candle to the current Bosch Power Box. I want to see the new one before I upgrade.

midogrumpyMember since Jan 2010

ssome details please !

what press release ?

a marketing event ?

a trade show?

how did you hear about this press release ?

thx

Black-n-YellowMember since Jun 2012

So I just got off the phone with customer service. The young lady on the other end said (in a completely confident tone) “it will be released in the 3rd quarter, so… around October”.

I’m currently borrowing a 14v battery from a friend to keep my old work sight radio going. I hope they can do an early 3rd

Quarter release

One NutMember since May 2012

Have to say, I’m disappointed. Another summer without.

StewartCarpentryMember since Jan 2012

very disappointing, you’d think with all the requests they would want to make the customers wishes come true. Bosch was capable of making a nice radio(too bad it doesn’t take the 20volt dewalt batteries) everyone else has one. If you are going to release a new line of tools, don’t take your sweet time doing so, not everyone wants to wait to wait to see a couple new toys every few months, only to have something better come out a few months later.  Just rambling on now super pissed and now going to evaluate buying a different brand with a couple extra batteries to go wireless with… Thanks DeWalt

midogrumpyMember since Jan 2010

hi

I checked the press release from Jun7 2012

(nothing special, just some accessories, no tools)

now who knows more ??????

as mentioned some posts above!!!!!

thx

Sorry, not soon as you think……next year

Black-n-YellowMember since Jun 2012

Wow, and here I thought that the customer service rep would have been a definite answer.

Not having that radio is just about infuriating enough to make me  see RED. 😛

I don’t know, guess I will never understand why corporations have a tendency to push their customer base (the people who actually communicate) off to the side.

I wonder why it’s taking so long, what features will it have, or who will be providing the amplifier and speakers. Rockford Fosgste, klipsch…..wishful thinking

It has nothing to do with that man, other factors involved, that is why the launch date was pushed back……

StewartCarpentryMember since Jan 2012

It wouldn’t be so bad if people were at least kept in the loop, stop making this sh!t so top secret. And next year really?!! Is this thing going to walk around and do the damn work for me? Figure you stuff out!

I’m going to assume that the radio charger would be considered a small consumer charger ( I sure hope it pulls less than 2kW, and if not it better sound like im at a concert)

I guess it makes sense to release the product after the new standards have been met instead of shutting down production and re-tooling/programming the line. I am just hoping it doesn’t mean the release is after 2-1-13 considering that DeWalt/Stanley has had since at least the beginning of Feb 2012 to come up with a redesign.

I can also assume the current chargers don’t meet the new standards

wait wait wait…….I thought the radio had a design closer to that of a power supply or step down transformer which just happened to connect its self to a charging circuit whenever it detected that it was plugged in to utility.

im going to stop rambling now. I was just really hoping to have a new radio to help me get through the upcoming apocalypse in December ;D

Bunghoolio777Member since Jul 2012

Well, whenever its ready, it best be having the following features…

USB input/charger

Aux input

DAB Radio

AM/FM Radio

Battery charger

6pack Stubbie chiller

Cigarette lighter

Bottle opener

WiFi hub

Aux Main voltage out

Kareoke feature and mike input

Seriously

Or someone will get hurt 😮

I work for Dewalt and have never seen this picture. But they don’t tell us sales guys too much. You all know as much as I do. It looks legit though.

Yea i understand. The rep at my home depot honestly didnt know about half the new tools that already came out..He was a great guy and showed me his brushless impact before the stores had them…but i honestly felt like i should have been driving that beautiful dewalt truck he had….haha Im pretty sure he was new..

kjonesMember since Oct 2010

I have not seen the new radio either, so I can’t speak to the picture. I wouldn’t pay attention to that price though. Weigh the other factors (Grainger and European).

As far as the rep at your home depot… Our HD and Lowes reps are good guys, and should be pretty knowledgable on the tools that are carried in their respective box stores, but they typically do not deal with the rest of the DeWALT line.

YoungGunMember since Jan 2012

Looks prity real to me but I’m going to stop in at the local store after

Work on Thursday to see I they have it or not. If they do I will be picking

Mine up and posting some photos

YoungGunMember since Jan 2012

So I just got off the phone with the local acklands Graingier store in Peterborough Ontario Canada and they said they can

Order them in and it would take about 5 to 10 days to come in and te price posted is the cash sale account and

It would only be cheaper if you had an account with them

My Dewalt rep confirmed last week that it would be out in 1st Quarter. Also watch for 4amp battery and nailer to release then as well.  😮

drgoodwrenchMember since Mar 2013

What do we have to do to get on the list for one of these? I am serious now! The waiting is just insane! And we know that the price gougers will be grabbing the first ones out and doubling the prices anytime they can!! So come on DeWalt~! Get off your ass!!!!

Gatorb8881393434512Member since Jun 2010

very soon

I heard it will be out in april

Unless they can get a Radio that kicks Makita’s butt with regards to Sound Quality and ‘comparible’ price (and yes I do understand that Makita doesn’t charge batteries) then as far as I am concerned, it might get a cool reception on release..

I am an avid Dewalt user/fan, but quite frankly past Dewalt radio’s ‘suck’ compared to Makita. I’m sorry to say that I have ‘modified’ a Makita Radio to accept the older 18v plug-in style Dewalt batteries. And believe me, it pains me to admit Makita’s superiority in this instance…

Sound is great, size is better and radio reception outstrips Dewalt 10 fold…

Looking forward to eating my words and past opinions of Dewalt radios…

tb93Member since Sep 2011

i hate to bash dewalt but the radios that they have released up until now have not been very impressive, radio reception is poor at best ,holding a station “ha” i have to re-tune several times a day, and forget charging batteries and listening to AM stations.

I Only hope the new radio is better because i already invested in 20v tech

nathan hurstMember since Mar 2013

If the new radio sucks like  last dewalt ones  ill probly get the millwaukee  one or bosch  but crossing my fingers the new 20v one rocks

StevenMember since Nov 2009

Dewalt announced 11 hours ago on their Facebook page that the DCR015 will be released on 4/1/2013 (i hope this is not an April Fools joke) in US stores.

It’s not an April Fools joke, give it about a week to get shipped into stores. They won’t begin shipping till April 1st.

nathan hurstMember since Mar 2013

Any ideas on wich stores will have it first  maybe locke lowes or tje dewalt stores i want it as soon as it hits a

Shelf  im sure im not the only one like that  us diehard dewalt guys have been waitin entirely way

Too long on this    IF ITS NOT BLACK AND YELLOW IT AINT S#?T

Herre is a video of it.

DurkinMember since Dec 2012

This radio will be in stock at the HOME DEPOT CANADA *BEFORE* the May 24th long weekend.

StewartCarpentryMember since Jan 2012

Kind of stupid that we wait this long to have pretty well the same radio as the last model, take a look at Bosch and maybe hire their engineers boys, plugging a phone into your radio to listen to a playlist is pointless if you answer your phone 20 times a day or more.  Satellite radio is crisp clear sound with over a hundred channels that can be listened to ANYWHERE including areas where reception is shit.  If dewalt comes out with a satellite version of there radio 6 months from now, I may burn all of my thousands of dollars of dewalt equipment lol, peace out rant done

Gatorb8881393434512Member since Jun 2010

I just got my demo radio today. It sounds great!

quig1984Member since Jan 2012

Ok it’s April 1st? Where is it at? Even though I’m kinda wishing I could get the Bosch radio to charge my dewalt batteries…

Started shipping today.  Should start seeing it at your local retailers soon.

So is this kinda the ‘replacement’ for the DC012 or will the DC012 be produced for a while?

Will Dewalt still keep coming out with new & better 12/14.4/18v radios (& tools) or is all focus on the 12/20V MAX?

It’s not a replacement for the DC012, it will continue being manufactured. I can’t comment on future products but for the most part 12/20v Max platform will be the focus.

Is the radio going to be as big as the old ones or a lil more compact

nathan hurst wrote:

The new radio is more compact, particularly in length (speaker to speaker)
