dewalt dc012

just bought the dc012 radio charger, was wondering if this would work.

plug my smart phone into the aux jack and then charge it while listening through one of the 3 side outlets w/ the phone wall charger. It sounds logical to me just wondering if anyone  has had luck charging their phone while playing through it to the radio speakers.

Yes, if the radio is plugged in. The outlets do not work when unplugged.

thanks, new to this smart phone stuff….just gave up the old nextels….miss them already!
