First post here, I have 6 random orbit sanders all of which have similar issues. First is two of the sanders no longer spin randomly, just real fast. And what is that annoying ticking or crackly bearing noise? Fix or buy refurbished? parts look pretty cheap. J
I would take them in and have them reparied under the GRC. It would be your lowest price option. They could probably give you tips for better care after they see what it looks like on the inside.
