Currently their is no topic for the DW788. What are your issues?
I started out with a knocking noise and some vibrations
when the speed control was set from 6 on up. I called Dewalt
and was told that the electronic board needed replacing. Looking
at the parts list and breakdown I noticed 2 pots on the board. I
wondered if there could be an adjustment available. Can you
share with me what these pots do and how to adjust them?

I have no extensive knowledge on the DW788. Maybe someone else on here could shed some light. It does sound like you should just have the service center take care of the repair.
