Li-ion gaining ground, but demand for NiCd still strong..

Yeah, say what you want about lithium, but NiCd and NiMhis still the most durable chemistry out there, you can run the cells until they are dead and you can still charge them up to full capacity and if they are over charge they can vent excess energy and still be functional, you cant do that to lithium.
