I have the DW745 portable table saw and I am wondering if I can safely clamp anything to the fence (featherboards, auxillary fences, etc..). I certainly don’t want to warp it since it’s hollow aluminium. Is there a safe way to do this?
I look forward to your suggestions.
Am also a newbe to this forum. What I did was replace the thin aluminum fence with a 1″ x 4″ piece of 1/8″ aluminum tube. I added a split maple fence to it with a t track mortised in to it to attach feather boards to. If i could only figure out how to attach JPEG images. Jim
You need to upload the pictures to a 3rd party site. For some reason this site won’t allow picture uploads. once you have the pictures uploaded to a 3rd party site, it’s easy. You can use the pictures off of Facebook, Myspace, photobucket, flickr, etc…..
here is a link to a couple of pictures of how I handled my fence. http://s1231.photobucket.com/albums/ee508/jebooher
Not sure if this is the way to do it.
Let me clarify, you can post pictures into posts, you just can’t upload them to the site. I see you uploaded them to photobucket. You can insert them into the post, all you need is the url link, as DewaltDude mentioned.
Let me help you out;
