I hope these will enter the EU market soon as I am in need of a pair of decent work stands.

Also I like how you can use the tracksaw clamps with this stand

kanxrusMember since Jan 2009

The clamps are designed to slide inside the rail on the bottom of the track. The clamp can then secure itself to whatever surface that’s underneath, pending it has an edge.

Mr. YellowMember since Jan 2011

I know, but I’ve seen a picture of this new work stand together with the clamp.

However I cannot locate that picture anymore.

That little rectangular hole on the side, that’s where you slide in the part of the clamp that also slides in the bottom of the track, so you can clamp anything down to the stand.

You are correct sir!!  The track saw clamps to lock into that whole, allowing you to use the padded part on your material.

This is what I meant

I have been searching the last while for some new saw horses , I am drawn to these but am wondering if any body has bought theses and how they are working out for the

These are fantastic.  I love ’em.  Compact AND sturdy and stable.  screw a sacrificial 2×4 on top for ripping plywood, etc.

Peter-kMember since Feb 2013

There a great idea any body got these in the eu our uk?? How much are they in the U.S

KnightMember since Oct 2013

I have them and they are great!

chadlanthierMember since Mar 2013

I picked up a few of these, they come in real handy. And use the clamps they use for track saw, works perfectly.

chadlanthierMember since Mar 2013

I also have the big brother to these.

BigmikezMember since Jun 2013

Wow I hadn’t seen these they look great and very useful to have

I wonder if I could rig up a way to attach my Dewalt 7480 table saw to these stands.

Great stands

Is that the DWE7480?

You can cut a piece of 3/4 ply to fit the bottom of the saw, use the brackets and carriage bolt them the the ply. It works great. I did it before I got the rolling stand followed by the 741RS.

It becomes quick release and you can still set the saw on a table or workbench if need be. It also puts the saw up nice and high. Which I liked because I’m 6’4

How did you secure the plywood to the bottom of the saw. Awesome idea

There are four holes on the bottom that I used ~2″ screws to secure it. They’re drilled at an angle. Maybe 45 degrees? It held great! That’s why I say 3/4″ plywood, to give you enough material to attach to.

gowingsMember since Dec 2013

I was wondering if you used those angled holes in some way. ;D

chadlanthierMember since Mar 2013

I think that the set of mounting brackets that come with the stand, can be used for a number of tools.

chadlanthierMember since Mar 2013

I planned on using these to make a portable work stand.

JoshMurrahMember since Nov 2014

I bought two of these… one of the bracket sets I got, I used for a miter, the other set, I used to mount a bench vise and chainsaw sharpener onto, so that I didn’t permenantly mount anything to my benches, to keep them tidy and keep the dust off them when I’m grinding mower blades or such.

madman_usMember since Sep 2014

nice man

BigmikezMember since Jun 2013

Pretty cool josh!

chadlanthierMember since Mar 2013

Cool josh, I iplan to mount a rigid bench sander on mine.

RickyMcGrathMember since Oct 2014

Hard to imagine they’re only rated at 1,000 lbs. the plastic saw horses are rated at 1,000 lbs.

gowingsMember since Dec 2013

That bracket locks the miter saw in place. You just slide it down the rail to the location you want it.

RickyMcGrathMember since Oct 2014

You sure? It appears to be in a fixed location. Does it come off there and put up top?

gowingsMember since Dec 2013

That might keep the set together as a lock.  Aids in aligning them before turning the thumbs latches on the side, if your transporting. Hmm. You have me thinking now

madman_usMember since Sep 2014

man its a double sided beer opener

gowingsMember since Dec 2013

Here is what I did with my stand. Now my table saw stand. Light, portable and very sturdy. Cut the legs off 12″. I already have the 6 ft. model for my Miter Saw, but have used this for small jobs requiring a few cuts. A little low for the miter saw but off the floor and my knees. Works sweet for me.

I just don’t see it. Do you unscrew it?

gowingsMember since Dec 2013

Mine has a allen screw, so it can be removed

RickyMcGrathMember since Oct 2014

And then do what exactly? My apologies here. I’m sure it’s stupid simple, but I’m having a hard time envisioning what the heck to do with the thing. Lol.

gowingsMember since Dec 2013

They call it a saw locator.  I looked on the drawings of the parts list.

RickyMcGrathMember since Oct 2014

Barnaby helped me out! Lol.

I see it now…. It looks as if it has a dual purpose. Replicable location of saw and the hooks lock it in.

take one of your yellow top bracket clamps, and set it right in the middle of that bracket.   its a location bracket. to repeat the same spot when you clamp the top yellow bracket.  at least thats the way it is on the miter saw stands.

I’m confused again.

This work stand doesn’t have the channels like the miter stands have. Look at the original photos on the post. No channels on top or the side of the main horizontal beam.

Gatorb888Member since Nov 2013

Your right, now channels on this one. So you have to put the saw off to one side on this one.
