I have a DW303M that will not run. Just stopped working during operation. Is this a bad switch, motor, or something else?
Took it to the repair shop but they want to much money for repair. Anybody have a solution to the problem?
What did they say when you took it in? Did they give you any indication as to what was wrong? Brushes are alway’s a good place to start. Take off the black plastic “D” shaped grill and make sure your brushes are in place, the spring is holding them down, and they are clean. Any further than that you would have to have the service center check the switch, then the motor.
When I took it to the repair shop, they did not give any indication of the problem. It was a female clerk at the front desk, she said that it was $25 to look at it, parts and hrs were extra. Said by the time they were done it would be $141. Thought that didn’t make any sense as the tool is only $99 new. I’ll take a look at the brushes. Thanks for the tip.
That’s not right, unless you took it to a non-factory owned Dewalt service center. Dewalt’s GSR guarantee’s;
