Good idea for a sticky? Battery Tech

Hey JC/Gang,

I had (I think) a good idea for a sticky.  Battery technology and care is a popular topic on many forums including this one.  Why not make a sticky regarding battery tech that answers some common questions?  I’m thinking:

Nicad

    Pros

    Cons

    Charging Tips if used daily (follow the manual)

    Charging Tips if used infrequently (not found anywhere in the manual)

    Expected life cycle if treated well

    Shelf life

    Storage Tips

NiMH

    Same breakdown as above

Lithium Ion (non-DeWALT)

    Same breakdown as above

Lithium Ion (DeWALT Nano)

    Same breakdown as above

I found this post – it even mentions DeWalt Nano.  I’m not sure how accurate the information is, but maybe this would be a good starting point for a authoritative sticky?

Batteries are a sticky subject all together… no pun intended. I would be up for creating a board dedicated just for FAQ for batteries and anything else tool related.
