Hello,
I own a great Dewalt DC925KB but recently I’ve encountered a strange problem with its chuck. It’s a Rohm Supra SK, and until now it has always worked like a charm, but now it doesn’t stay tight on a bit. After several rotations (especially when it stops abruptly), the chuck is not holding the bit anymore…
Does anyone already encounter this problem ?
I’ve watched this video: http://www.ereplacementparts.com/removing-drill-chuck-c-8873_15176.html to remove the chuck but I didn’t see the central screw the guy is talking about. Could someone advise me for this procedure ? TIA 🙂
Dewalt dosen’t use a threaded spindle(its one solid piece), so your probably going to want to send that in.
Correct it is a spindle style. I will be posting a topic on how to properly remove this chuck in the near future.
Ok thx for the info, but would it be possible for you to describe me (succinctly) the procedure please ?
I’ve actually never done it, I will try to get the info up as soon as possible.
Anyway thx for your answer, I’ll wait your solution :)…
I just got done doing it. It’s a cake! I’ll post up the video tomorrow afternoon. 😮
Ok, as promised! Here is the video steps on how to remove the ROHM SUPRA SK CHUCK!
Here is a link over to the thread… ROHM
OK thanks a lot ! In fact that’s really simple when we know the solution ;)…..
