Looking for suggestions on a good 6-1/2″ circular saw blade for my m18 brushed circular saw for when the blade needs to be replaced. I’m considering a diablo framing blade or the Bosch daredevil framing blade. Which do you think is better or do you know another brand that is better?
So you got the m18 fuel. Cool. I have the normal m18 and I LOVE IT! I bought the diablo fine tooth and the diablo framing blade from home depot. Both have been great for me. The fine tooth gives me a splinter free cuts every time. I have not used the daredevil yet.
I use Diablo blades and they are fantastic. The red will look better with your saw as well 😉
I wish I had the fuel circular saw. I would be the coolest guy on the block.Harold Wray wrote:

I have an older Makita 7 1/4″ and I use the Diablo framing blade, got em two for one, and I love em. Not like I use it a lot, but it does cut like a hot knife through butter.
Yeah I like the idea of matching color. Everyone raves about diablo blades also I seen a tia video where Eric and Dan really like the Bosch daredevil blades so I don’t know which to choose.Conductor562 wrote:

ops. I miss read it. I would love the fuel circular saw but I am very happy with my m18 circular saw. No problems at all.
I’ve never used the Daredevils, but I’ve got the Freud blades on just about every saw I own and they are fantastic. The Avanti blades are ok, but nothing like the Diablo’s.
As information, Dewalt OEM blades are made by Avanti which is also owned by Freud.
Same here, that thing is awesome, I’m still getting the fuel one day but for now I am completely satisfied with my m18 saw. So much so I even sold my corded because I had no use for it after the m18. With 4.0 batteries this thing lasts a long time.Harold Wray wrote:

Yeah, I always thought that the Dewalt blades that come in the saws we sell looked very similar to the Avanti blades.
I use alot of diablo blades and irwin marathon blades in my table saws and miter saws..both are great choices for circular saw also.
As you probably all ready know I love the Diablo and Daredevil blades. I have to say my Milwaukee blade that came with the saw lasted a long time, longer than expected. Problem is you can’t find them anywhere.
I agree. I used the included Milwaukee blade for a long time. Then when I needed a new one I could not find another Milwaukee 6 1/2 blade anywhere.
Not sound like I am being brainwashed by Conductor, but those blades were probably OEM’d by a company for Milwaukee so they could put one in the packaging.
They sell them in home depot online for about $16 which is pushing it in terms of price for me for a small framing blade. On paper the endurance blades seem to have similar specs as the other two diablo and Bosch except for some special coating like the other two
I think your right, I am sure someone makes the Milwaukee saw blades. $16 for the Milwaukee blades?
You’d be amazed at the shit companies re-brand from other manufacturers.
I’ve seen people argue over which is better when in reality the came off the same line.
I went in to HD and Lowe’s to look at the Bosch and Freud blades and neither store carried the Bosch. Lowes didn’t even have the diablos. Wanted to compare in person, oh well I guess next time I’ll just pick up a diablo blade
Good choice Javier. You won’t be disappointed.
I agree I think you will be happy with the diablo Javier.
Diablo by Frued is a Home Depot exclusive(in terms of Retailers/Big Box stores) Just an FYI the presents of Bosch will be expanding in Home Depot as well. All Bosch Daredevil Paddle Bits will be exclusive to Home Depot(they were available at Menards, but are being pulled from their stores).
Good info Joe. Thanks for sharing!
The Bosch paddle bits are still available at my local Lowes.
Finally got the diablo blade yesterday, get to test it out today while I build a fence

You won’t be disapointed.
@ conductor, you guys were right this blade is great. I only have the stock Milwaukee blade to compare it to and the Milwaukee blade is an excellent all around performer. The diablo blade is noticeably faster at cutting 2×4’s. Not by much but I was able to tell the difference. This isn’t really a complaint because I know it wasn’t the blade or the saws fault but cutting the fence panels did go a bit slower because they were pretty moist. Must have been a fresh batch from home depot. Juice even came out when I fastened the panels to the 2x4s as I sank the screws. The dry panels were a joke to the blade. Like cutting paper with a scissor
Anyways the m18 saw looks pretty good with a diablo blade on it
It annoys me how wet they ship that treated lumber It’s so wet once they clip the bands holding it together and it starts to dry out the stuff bows out in all sorts of crazy directions. Why does the lumber we use now have to be such garbage its so light and less dense than the wood you see in a older homes that stuff is like concrete.

The lumber we use now is third gen growth trees. It’s junk! we’ll never get to use first gen growth like the old carpenters did from the get go.
The quality of lumber has indeed declined over the years. As LordDiesel said, we’re on renewed resource crap now and the difference is obvious.
Remember when you had to pre-drill pine?
I would say diablo but i have seen irwin make some nice blades too.

I consider Irwin a budget pro brand. Consistently good, but seldom great.

Diablo blades are all I use on my saws. The old pine in my house and my son’s house is like iron. it can dull a bit or a blade in seconds
I made the mistake of making a table top out of pine a couple years ago. It was beat to hell in no time.
These days we pay more money for shittier lumber.
The pressure treated stuff they used to build the lean to on our shop was incredibly tough to drive a screw in. (This was before I discovered impact drivers) I had to use my massive corded dewalt drill and push on it as hard as I could to keep the bit in the screw.
