Greetings,. Just purchased a DeWalt drill plus impact driver combo. The DCD771 drill does not do the clicking thing when tightening a bit. It just makes a big clunk towards the end of tightening as if something is passing over a big detent. Is this thing defective or is the problem cause by something simple? Thanks, Mike
Welcome to the forum.
When using the keyless chuck, toggle the forward / reverse switch to the middle (lock) position.
The middle position permits tightening the chuck completely. Same for loosening.
Still no clicks.
