Did Dewalt 2019 stil use Red LG HE2 2500mah cells?
I bought battery 2019 for repair but iam not sure if someone didnt changed cells.
Definitely it was opened as I can see marks but owner said that it was new battery and never fixed/opened.
no one opened 18V DEWALT 5ah battery from 2019 yet?

Yes I can confirm that I have the same color cells on the Dewalt battery 18v 5 amp that has never been open before.

battery date: 2018, cells: LGABHE21865 2500mAh, same for 2019
I’ve repaired couple of 5Ah batterys. Broken case, problems with PCB, but main problem is cell dying.
Example battery from 2018 – 1 pair lost (0,5-0,6V). Battery looks like new and it is done.
Other battery 2014 stil live (4,0Ah). Maybe it depends on how it was used, charged. But I see more and more 2018 batterys with dead pair of cells inside.
