I was given a Dewalt DW321 Jigsaw that works but there is a part missing on the top.
I don’t know what it is or what it’s for.
Can you guys/gals help me out with this and possibly what it’s called?

That would likely be the lever for changing the blade.

where is the main shaft that holds the blade? looks like more hassle than its worth.
