Hello, I just received my Makita SP6000J track saw. When you start the motor, it makes a grinding kind of sound and vibrates, then smooths out when it reaches speed. Not a pleasant sound. From comments in other web sites, I am not the only one who noticed this. But some claim it’s normal (a function of the soft start motor?) and some claim the saw must be defective. Would appreciate any thoughts from folks who know this tool.
My festool ts75 does the same its part of the soft start/constant power setup. Probably normal on the Makita too. Just not something people are used too. You will find the same question on festool forums, sounds bad but isnt bad.
