I bought a DW 7000 generator from Lowes. I never had the oppurtunity to use it. I started it up when i got it ran fine but i never ran anything off it . The purpose was for power outages. Now the power is out generator runs but puts out no voltage. I take it to repair center , they said probably needs to be flashed. The shop calls me says the stator is fried . How can it be fried i never used it. DeWalt says not a manufacturers defect. Then what is it. The repair is 2/3 the cost of new.
Oh man, that sucks!! I’m sorry to hear that stuff happen to anyone. I hope you can get it fixed and with some talking you can get Dewalt to cover it for you!!

i’d contact dewalt again. if the gen looks brand new like you say, then they should help you out.
