I have finally save enough money to buy a 20v circular saw. I am looking at one on eBay that is manufactured refurbished. What’s your experience with refurbished tools?

wayneburgessMember since May 2012

Manufacturer refurbished are just about as good as new and can have long guarantee 🙂

I’ve bought some reman stuff here and there. I’ve always been happy with it. The only downside is that the warranty isn’t typically as long, but warranty isn’t a huge concern for me anyway.

I’ve bought a couple of Dewalt tools that we’re refurbished and have’nt had a problem with them. If it’s cheep enough go for it.

Its bare on Ebay for about 99 with shipping.

That’s pretty good. You should post the item number here if they have more than one so I can get one.

Hey Chase. I’ve bought from CPO and Big Sky Tools. They have stand alone sites and sell on EBay too. If its from either of these guys they are the best. Awesome, mostly new condition but Wayne is right, year warranty, that’s normally it. When I’ve bought Milwaukee from CPO the batteries are normally new, but not Red Lithium, just the older tech M18. Good luck!

Thanks Chris

The only real concern I ever had was getting a previous generation battery or something, but with the 20V Max that isn’t a concern. The fact that you’re buying a bare tool voids this concern also.

When I bought my m12 clamp meter of cpo it was listed as having a red lithium battery included with the kit according to their webpage, but what shipped had the old non lithium battery they handled it just fine and shipped a red lithium battery out right away. You just have to be more through with refurbished tools.

Good to know. That always deterred me from ordering a recon’d kit.

Just bought it, should be here Thursday, be on the lookout for a review.

Nothing like the mail man showing up at the door with new tools. Waiting for him to get there is what sucks.

firefighter4187Member since Mar 2013

Yeah you can say that again!

wayneburgessMember since May 2012

🙂

You know…for all the waiting the least they could do is say send a young women in something like US Postal Service lingerie or something like that.  Well well well that was worth the wait Ma’am!

firefighter4187Member since Mar 2013

Haha the postal service has the most out of shape people i have ever seen..

I take it you’ve never shopped at Wal-Mart 😆

firefighter4187Member since Mar 2013

Haha I forgot about there

wayneburgessMember since May 2012

We have a store owned by wal-mart and if you ask a member of staff a question they tilt the head to one side a bit like your dog the first time he hears a trombone 🙂

firefighter4187Member since Mar 2013

Whoa whoa whoa you socially elite people! Are you saying that the people of Walmart are not kind, smart, polite people with great…..oh wait, I just threw up a little in mouth!

Conductor562Member since Nov 2011

I don’t aim to stereotype anyone who works or shops at Wal-Mart, but it’s still the best place to see freakishly odd people.

wayneburgessMember since May 2012

Over here I am sure I caught one of them singing a lullaby to the frozen peas 🙂

ChrisKMember since Dec 2012

Over here we had a “inner city youth” wanna be gang banger, “pull out my 9 and busta cap in DAT bitch’s ass yo” and he did in fact remove a 9mm pistol from his waistband whilst standing in line at Walmart and proceed to shoot himself in the ass.  Fu#$%&* Moron!!! What an idiot. Unfortunately the round went three feet too low and hit his ass instead of his head!

Conductor562Member since Nov 2011

That’s fantastic Chris! I’m guessing he hadn’t taken an NRA approved safety course? lol
