Has anyone ever used this tool. It is a demolition tool. Like a sledge hammer, a wrecker bar and you can grab 2x’s to rip them out. They run about $90 is it worth it?

firefighter4187Member since Mar 2013

I know that they make a shorter version of it that is a lot better price. What will you be using it for?

Conductor562Member since Nov 2011

My dad bought one to tear down an old building once. They actually were really handy and much better than a hammer and a crow bar.

Mostly demo work. Yeah they sell the short one at Home Depot and Lowe’s for about $30 but I think the bigger one would be much better.

firefighter4187Member since Mar 2013

Yeah you will.get a lot more leverage for ripping 2x4s.

firefighter4187Member since Mar 2013

Did you buy this tool?

crazyandyMember since Feb 2013

You need to let us know how it is if you buy it!

FerTheHandymanMember since Feb 2013

Not yet probably when I get my house and start taking down walls.. I will definitely leet you know how it is. I saw that Crescent came out with some nise wrecker bars.

firefighter4187Member since Mar 2013

Just looked them up and they look good.

Conductor562Member since Nov 2011

The Crescent bars are nice looking. Haven’t ever used one though.

FerTheHandymanMember since Feb 2013

They have them at Menards here in Kenosha. The price is’nt bad the most expensive one was like $35 and they have a few different styles but they are shorter than the fubar.

crazyandyMember since Feb 2013

Buy it! haha

wayneburgessMember since May 2012

Can one of you guys post a picture because I recognise the description but it may be called by another name over here?  🙂

I think it was actually designed with Fire/Rescue in mind. Hence the hydrant wrench incorporated into the jaw.

wayneburgessMember since May 2012

They only go up to 18″ over here another great tool we can’t buy   🙁

firefighter4187Member since Mar 2013

Yes Conductor, and it doubles as a gas shut off. Have you seen channel lock’s fire rescue pliers?

I have. I just wish I needed them.

firefighter4187Member since Mar 2013

Yeah they are pretty cool.

crazyandyMember since Feb 2013

I know a fire chief and he has shown me some cool tools they have and their trucks have every kind of thing you need!

firefighter4187Member since Mar 2013

yes they do!

wayneburgessMember since May 2012

Been looking and can’t find a supplier who sells one of these with delivery to the U.K  🙁

firefighter4187Member since Mar 2013

They are all over the place over here.

wayneburgessMember since May 2012

It’s a slap because I could really use one right now on the demo part of a very large job to save a building built in 1808 that has been abandoned for 30 years and partly burned. It is in a right state and needs just about everything and will take some saving.

full of rats and pidgeons  LOL   🙂

firefighter4187Member since Mar 2013

Sounds like fun!!

wayneburgessMember since May 2012

LOL sounds like target practice  🙂

firefighter4187Member since Mar 2013

Yes haha 🙂

crazyandyMember since Feb 2013

I would how well the tool would go about taking out a little furry creature!

jamesrooferMember since May 2013

760 mm fubar? i “lost” my fubar and it wasn’t 760 mm, didn’t cry tho… just.

if you are grumpy enough and it MUST BE DONE the shorter one can take 30 metres of gutter of a 2.4 metre high fascia in about half an hour. We dont have the big ones in Oz yet i’m very jealous. no damn xr radio yet either, 240v mains a blessing and a curse.

wayneburgessMember since May 2012

LOL Fubar throwing could be a sport  🙂

The Fubar III (the big one) is available in Germany. Stanley does not carry model in Holland either, but I got it from eBay from Germany.

I love it, but the thing really is designed with US sizes in mind. Grabbing a 2×4 over here is a no go. You can alter the teeth to make it work.

It’s the only thing I dislike. Other than that it’s a great demolition tool.

I’ve bought from this seller multiple times. Never any problems.

I’m waiting to say the Fubar in Walking Dead.

Almost makes you want to build something just to rip out apart with this bad boy.

My neighbor has been a pain in the ass lately, I’ll buy the FUBAR’s if you can assemble the demolition crew for his house!

KatoMember since Jan 2014

I have the short one, want the long one but haven’t been able to spend the cash on it yet. The short one though, it’s insane. A very nice tool to have when you want to tear stuff apart, tweak boards, whatever. I love the thing.

BrienMember since Dec 2013

I have the short one too. I actually use it for framing sometimes to hold studs straight.

yamatitanMember since Oct 2013

I keep the big one in my truck at all times, its a awesome tool from demo to helping pry someone out a wrecked vehicle.

kenny_kenzieMember since Mar 2014
