I was on a paver job yesterday, i was installing a 10 by 10 patio and had a lot of odd cuts.I have a cheap tool bag which is all open and i forgot where it was and before i knew it i had made 15 cuts and you couldn’t even see my tool bag it was covered in so much dust, which got all over my tools . I need an affordable but tough tool bag that is completely closed from the elements.

I would love to find the same exact thing too! I also do a far amount of work outside and have always needed something like this!|

Vito Pro Packs are top notch. May be a little more than you’re looking to spend though. I have a Carhartt bag I use for work. I love it.

firefighter4187Member since Mar 2013

Yeah i have heard the vitos are the best.

Nice how weather resistant is it?

It’s pretty resistant to splashes and stuff. I spray mine down with Camp Dry one a year or so and the water just rolls off.

I make a bag that goes over my bag using an overturned thick plastic bag. It’s cheap as chips, works every time and I have dozens under the seat in my work van.   🙂

Veto is nice, but heavy.  Those other bags look nice.

Conductor562Member since Nov 2011

Pictures are sometimes deceiving, so I have to ask you Rickster, how big is that bag?

Being Brunswick, I’d say you’re right. Looks pretty sturdy regardless.

Guy who came to install my new FiberOP, cable, internet and home phone had a real nice dewalt bag… seemed pretty heavy duty and would last along time

MozeMember since Jun 2012

You could apply this to whatever bag you wind up getting.

Been too busy buying tools!

haha…Actually just been swamped with work (and buying tools in the process).

Conductor562Member since Nov 2011

Glad your back!

Conductor562Member since Nov 2011

What line of work are you in?

ChrisKMember since Dec 2012

I know it is not a bag Chase, but I really do love my l-boxx’.  Ive actually got five of the them now.  I was using my heavy duty milwaukee bags but I am really anal about my tools and they were getting banged around whenever I went up to the farm. The review the guys did on the l-boxx was awesome and that spurred me to get the ones I have.

So is Jenna a spammer or what?

Wow, looks like a pretty wide selection of configurations!

They’re pretty damn good for the money. I have 2 of them for my bare tool milwaukee and 1more for all my hand tools. Best bag there is for under 35 bucks.

I’m gonna have to give them a good look. I could use a couple of set bags.

I’ve carried all my Railroad shit in that bag for several years now and it has held up beautifully. Mine is the large model but they have a smaller version as well. Great bags!

mustang347Member since Mar 2011

Another vote for Veto Pro here……..

Yes they are expensive, however I was going through the husky bags at least once a year. Torn pockets and such. I’ve had my Veto for over four years now and it is still just as good as when I bought it plus I’ve never been as organized. All my guys have them now as well.

I am a regional maintenance manager for a large chemical company in the midwest and am not easy on my tool bag.

I really like my Veto TP4 it holds all my go to hand tools as ya can see.

But I’m interested in getting a backpack, as much as I like my TP4 I need to protect my tools from rain. I’m deciding between the Veto Pro Pac Tech Pac, the Klein Tradesman Pro Organizer Backpack or the CLC 48 POCKET DELUXE TOOL BACKPACK.

The CLC and the Klein are way cheaper, but the Veto looks like it will last way longer, but because of the price I will buy either the CLC or the Klein. The CLC seems to be very well organized, but the Klein has that plastic protection on the bottom.

Has any one used any of this backpacks?

EEtwidgetMember since Dec 2013

The guys did a video on the Veto Pro PAC Tech

I was leaning more towards the Klein and since you say it’s can last long I will defetnetly check it out.

I like that it has the plastic bottom and that all of the tool pockets are in one side of the bag, so you only have to open one side and all of your tools are there.

My HVAC guy went from a veto to the Klein back pack and though it does appear to be holding up well he is disapointed by it not being able to stand up on its own when set down,

What was the reason he went from a Veto to the Klein? And what Veto did he have?

He had an LC. He was thinking a back back might be better for climbing up ladders to roof top units and such and at the time Veto didn’t have the back pack that they do now. I was working with him on a job site yesterday and I think he’s going to Berlands on Saturday to check out the Veto.

For how long has he had the Klein backpack?

I bet its been almost a year. It’s showing some wear. But holding up. Like I say his biggest hang up is he thought he would be able to set it down and grab tools as needed like with the Veto Pro. When he puts it on the ground it won’t stand up and he has to keep flipping it open. There isn’t always something for him to hang it on. His is the first Veto I’ve seen that was wore out like his was. He’s really rough on equipment, roof tops covered in snow or out in the rain etc. That being said it appears the Klein can take some abuse. The next time I’m working with him I’ll see if I can snap a pic or two for you.

ToolFreakMember since Nov 2013

Just ordered the Klein backpack, let’s see how it holds up.

So I figured I can place my impact driver, oscillating tool and Dremel inside the backpack and it closes perfectly.
