I raised my DW735 planer up to 4″ to edge a 1×4 and when I was lowering it to plane some wood down to 1/4″ thick it will only go to 2 1/4″ and stops there. Any ideas to why? Hope this is an easy fix as the closest DeWalt dealer is over 110 miles away.
I have the 734 but….Shannen Rogers of the renaissance woodworker had something similar going on with his 735 as I recall. It ended up being an issue with dust extraction but this is from memory of Woodtalk live a few years ago. You might be able to research it there.
