Hey guys, new to the forum I have been saving up for some woodworking tools (mechanic by trade starting to get into wood working) I was just curious if you guys know what time of year the big companies ie Milwaukee dewalt Bosch and so forth put out the new models? Id hate to get a tablesaw or planer right before a better model is released. Thanks!
Usually they drop new tools at big events World of concrete being one, and individual company events during the summer. They also can just do surprise drops of new tools during the year too.
Welcome to the forums Cody! Just like DR says, keep track of the events. Normally year end or beginning is sales, not really tool releases.
Really not a lot changes on the bigger tools its drills drivers the smaller tools that get frequent updates
@ShovelheadCody they tend to announce new tools in the summer but they generally do not arrive until later sometimes stuff doesn’t even arrive until the next year.
Thanks for all the info guys! I guess it’s kind of a crap shoot. As I was getting on the web to check this post I noticed Milwaukee has a gen 2 now of the cordless ratchets and I was about to order one!
There are a lot of knowledgeable guys on here that have insider info, so if you’re ever wondering about a particular tool just ask. I’m sure if a tool is going to be updated anytime soon someone on here will know and chime in.
