Cordless or Corded

If its not for the vehicles, our tools arn’t going anywhere to work.

So DR99, does the Ryobi come with 2 batteries?

I think it’s just one 3.0 ah but I’m not sure ryobi keeps on cutting corners and putting 1.5’s in everything.

firefighter4187Member since Mar 2013

My mom had an older green durrango and loved it, only problem was the hemi which was terrible on gas mileage.

DR99Member since Nov 2012

Would be nice if TTI sold milwaukee versions of the garden tools, but that seems unlikely its not supposed to be diy/homeowner brand.

There was talk last summer of a 36V line, but I don’t think anything ever came of it.

DR99Member since Nov 2012

I feel like the outcast with all the mopar people My trucks have been either an F150 or Silverado. Nothing against dodge the deal’s just never worked out with the car dealers here. I really like that new 2013 with the crazy mpg v6

I would be stoked if Milwaukee offered a line but you’re right, I don’t think that is something they are really interested in. I would try the Ryobi lawn tools though, they seem to get really good reviews!

crazyandyMember since Feb 2013

I would be interested to try out some of those Ryobi lawn tools. I have always been a gas powered guy but I am up for new things!

Yea the garden manager at home depot mentioned something but never heard anything else.

Actually DR99, I am with you on that 6cyl. I’ve been checking it out but to quote my beautiful wife “Chrissy, if you ask me for another truck I will hurt you”. Wow cute cuddly name and death threat! I actually traded in my 08 Ram 5.7 for the new 2012 Ram with the 4.7l. The mileage is better and when I hit the gas my dog doesn’t turn into a quivering shaking wimp! He hates the sound!

It’s kinda like black and decker with dewalt I get you don’t want me to be able to use the cheap batteries on the dewalt tools, but why don’t you let people use dewalt batteries on the black and decker stuff.

ChrisKMember since Dec 2012

I’ve still got the abilty to tow a good amount and the truck is Sooooo comfortable. I feel like I’m rolling up in a Cadi when I am driving it on the weekend.

crazyandyMember since Feb 2013

I have a 06 4.7 and it puts my 8 month golden to sleep but when I give it he wakes up haha

I really do wish they would put an eco switch in the trucks to dull the throttle and such. It’s too expensive to own a truck now.

I’m sure that is probably right. Milwaukee is in my opinion a lot like what the Europeans have in Hilti, Metabo and Bosch, our Pro tool line and splitting off in my opinion cheapens the public opinion.

ChrisKMember since Dec 2012

I drive my truck like a little old lady, try to put out less than 2000 rpms. On long drives I average 22 mpg which really isn’t bad. My wife has a 2011 Sentra and that is a great car to go on trips with. Problem is we love being in the truck!

firefighter4187Member since Mar 2013

My dads will get 14 on a good day.

crazyandyMember since Feb 2013

I also get around 15 on a good day too but I love my baby and can see past her flaws haha

ChrisKMember since Dec 2012

You youngins gotta learn to feather the gas pedal!

Conductor562Member since Nov 2011

Yea, I’m in that 15-16 range to. You can’t get descent mpg here for all the damn hills!

firefighter4187Member since Mar 2013

That will be my truck in a year.

ChrisKMember since Dec 2012

Can’t go wrong with a Dodge Ram Chase. When you buy one I have owned the 5.7l and the 4.7l. Both 8 cyl are phenomenal. My 4.7l has (had) the new 6 speed automatic, up from the 5 speed. Now they just came out with the 8 speed! If you buy new, they now have the new 6 cyl which I wouldn’t hesitate to get. The motor is supposed to be highly efficient in the fuel and power categories! The interior is wicked nice, super comfortable. I was towing my boat with older truck and got stopped for speeding (15 over) and I had completely forgotten the boat was back there!

firefighter4187Member since Mar 2013

Yeah I am a big dodge fan.

ChrisKMember since Dec 2012

I was out with my dog this morning watering the four foot tall snow banks and I looked over at my Ram and I’m like “that’s is a sexy black truck”! The chicks gotta love it! Hahahaha

firefighter4187Member since Mar 2013

hahaha yeah you guys got snow?

ChrisKMember since Dec 2012

Snow? No man we don’t have snow. I’ve got a white abomination that is nearly five feet tall at the end of my driveway and three feet still in the yard. But its supposed to get to be fifty this week so hopefully we will have a lot of melting!

firefighter4187Member since Mar 2013

yeah haha its 75 here.

We haven’t got snow like that here in almost 20 years! Better take out a flood policy before that shit melts! lol

ChrisKMember since Dec 2012

All kidding aside, four years ago we got so much snow we beat all the total records. I had my full size Ram. The snow piles in my driveway were over the top of it! It was so bad, my snowblower couldnt throw it over the piles. I had to go up top and shovel the snow away so i could snow blow! That sucked! We then had a quick warm up and rain. My basement floor lifted up and cracked the whole length of my house. Water was SHOOTING up three inches. I spent two days with mallet, chisel and hydraulic cement! We are in for another warm up and I am already stressing out! My workshop is down there! This global warming is a bitch! Maybe I should get a Prius. Wait…those actually cause more environmental damage than my truck!

firefighter4187Member since Mar 2013

Haha yes they do.

Conductor562Member since Nov 2011

I may trade my truck this summer. Thinking about either a new 1500 Laramie or Sport.

firefighter4187Member since Mar 2013

I want the outdoorsman addition with the Ram Boxes.

Conductor562Member since Nov 2011

I like the 2500 Power Wagon, but I just really don’t need a 3/4 ton truck.

ChrisKMember since Dec 2012

Travis! STOP IT RIGHT NOW! You have to get a Ram man! Ram good. Chevy…come on! Chevy?!? Really!?!

firefighter4187Member since Mar 2013

The power wagons are really nice with the Warn winch built in and the locking differentials.

crazyandyMember since Feb 2013

The Power wagons are a mean truck and I wish I could have one of those! Ram is the way to go

Chevy? That’s blasphemy! I’ll get another Ram for sure. I just don’t know if I want the Laramie package or the sport.

crazyandyMember since Feb 2013

The sports are pretty nice! They usually come with 4:10 gears in the back and they for sure have some power

Conductor562Member since Nov 2011

crazyandy wrote:

When I built one online they had 2 gear options. I’m thinking the lowest option now is 3:93. With all the mpg requirement I’d say a factory 4:10 is a thing of the past.

Ohh…. Thank God! I got confused! Ram all the way baby! Its getting late! Long day too much snow! I’m confusing Ram with Chevy! I must be on crack or something!

firefighter4187Member since Mar 2013

haha My friend in some of the videos, his dad has a 2011 chevy silverado and it is so cheap. The trim pieces are all pealing off.

ChrisKMember since Dec 2012

Never oh mighty Conductor!!!!!

crazyandyMember since Feb 2013

Haha there are so many things I can do with my Ram that I cant with a chevy. They call it RAM for a reason haha

ChrisKMember since Dec 2012

Darn straight Andy! The name Ram beckons strength!
