I hope this comes out for my Flexvolt as an add on. I like having a hook, not necessary but pretty nice to have.
maybe a free service type deal if you send your saw to DeWALT to get this?

Dewalt screwing over early adopters…imagine that. The FlexVolt sidewinder is also getting updated.
I am a little ticked!! It seems they saw how many comments were made all over different forums and then changed the design. It is definitely a different clamshell to make room for the rafters hook. I really hope they offer early adopters the option to exchange.

I wonder if this will happen with the flex recip? Wouldn’t be too hard. Essentially same grip just different lock switch. I wouldn’t mind a dual speed flex recip using the lock switch as the speed control but its unlikely.
