In a pic promoting the Flexvolt compressor.

This would be a solid addition. Ryobi, Makita, Milwaukee have one, so I know it’s only a matter of time!!

FlaveNicoMember since Jan 2016

i just saw makita came out with 2 fans and i believe both under 100.00.   both battery operated as well.  SOON lol

Anyone know if it is going to be 20v or 60v?

Framer joeMember since Nov 2016

It’s a 20v product….use 20v batts or 60v or ac..

Hugh JassMember since Feb 2015

Interested in the stats of this compared to the latest offerings from the other boys.

JakeDewaltMember since Jan 2017

Framer joeMember since Nov 2016

Running Red on AC and Yellow on DC is hardly a decent comparison!

The fan specs from jimbos list……500cfm that’s more powerful than the Ridgid fan and almost twice the Milwaukee…..great job on that one Dewalt

Nice. Real nice. I’m down.

Rtorres092382Member since Sep 2014

At $99 for the bare tool I might consider buying 2. If they drop the price to $79 it wouldn’t even be up for debate.

Anyone know what Acme’s time frame is when items are up for preorder? Should we expect it in stock within the week or longer?

midogrumpyMember since Jan 2010

this impresses me a bit

  • UP TO 7 HOURS RUNTIME AT MAXIMUM SPEED WITH 4.0 AH DEWALT 20V MAX* BATTERY
fm2176Member since Feb 2017

If it weren’t for the fact I more or less needed them at the time, I’d almost regret buying two of the Ridgid.  Let’s be honest, though, one or two DeWalt fans will end up in my collection.  Meanwhile, the Ridgid fans give me an excuse to buy another BOGO 4.0Ah battery deal, the sander, and maybe a couple of other things.

Framer joeMember since Nov 2016

I went rigid too,  had to..needed a trim router and sander,,,got the fan too….but Dewalts fans will be in my garage as soon as released. Even though it’s headed for colder weather on the cape……7 hr on high with a 4ah  8 or more with a 5ah …that is impressive…..

JakeDewaltMember since Jan 2017

When will this release this is one tool that is a must buy.

midogrumpyMember since Jan 2010

==> @JakeDewalt

I´ll be in West Palm area beginning of October for vacation

If you need anything from the “Europe” collection of DeWalt products let me know

I might be able to bring along

cheers

Man that’s really cool. Thanks for offering. I guess I need to find something cool Europe has that we don’t ?

Also there is a Dewalt Service Center here in West Palm where you can get almost anything out in the US

midogrumpyMember since Jan 2010

@JakeDewalt

your welcome, let me know !!

Not true: I´m in that service center 2x a week when I´m there (one of their best customers)

but they don´t sell (cordless) tools !

they have nice store displays and it is one of the best service centers in USA ! (I know a lot!)

challenge: give me one example of a (new) cordless tool I could get there ???

cheeers

Sorry Mido but I use a Dealer account and can buy any cordless tool they have in stock. Where I got my framing nailer, finish nailer.

That’s a lot of coin for a fan that’s why I went with the Ryobi for 40 bucks, RIDGID is 50, Milwaukee wants even more than dewalt not worth it IMO

Nice find ,  @rcarnes911I called all the lowes around me,no such luck. 🙁 still using my rigid fan as it replaced my Ryobi fan…….that Ryobi fan is LOUD, not bad air flow, the Rigid  fan is whisper quiet and was the most powerful until the Dewalt….the Milwaukee has half the air flow and twice the sound of the rigid….the Dewalt takes the crown….

     price ? Price for a powerful ,quiet , hybrid fan …??? Dewalt , priceless ! ………..
